Just built a new awesome budget PC :D

My old specs

AMD X2 6000+
3 GB slow-ass ram
Radeon 4850 512 MB

Now my girlfiend (who is awesome for this) knows I am not the type to ask for anything on birthdays/christmas just because I am not the type to really ask people for gifts, always been that was since a child. She pretty much forced me to pick out some parts for myself for my 25th birthday (yeah she really did force me o_o I had no choice!) because she knew I was not liking my PC as much as I used to when I first built it a while back.

So here is what I have now. I know it isnt super awesome to you guys but this is the best PC I have ever owned, and it is blowing games away pretty damned awesome. Planning on dropping an extra 50 bucks for 8 GB more ram just for the hell of it. Maxes out any game I throw at it, and looks amazing on our tv. Just wanted to say thank you to Peggi (Even though she wont read this because she has been out of the cRPG community of players we hung with, but I am sure some of you who know her may tell her about this) for being awesome.

Just a pretty happy day in my life is all flame away

I am happy with what I have, I did not want to blow the bank, it is kind of our money as we live together but I have always been an AMD boy, can never get me to go intel or nvidia

955 is more than 2 years old, it isnt even in the benchmarks..

Mte, dude, did you read my post?I said that the Intels ARE actually better, but not that much to justify a 100% bigger price PLUS AMDs are still more than enough for all the games out there, and will probably stay for some years since Developers mostly develop in DX9 and dont make big jumps in Graphics cause of consoles.

Yes I did and I say that the 100% price is more than worth it since were talking about the processor here, not about ram where "1333mhz" and "2100 mhz" makes totally NO difference at all in anywhere but benchmarks and since he is willing to buy another 8gb just for the lulz of it, I thought the i5 2500k would have been a better choice.
