The best unrealized solution to the Pike and "long spear"

It weighs 2.5.........really? Just make it upwards of 12-30 and we will no longer have hoppy hoppy agi lol stabbing pikemen in 35+ armor. You will move at the pace of a slug, just like a real pikeman.

This solved the great firebomb spam of 2010.


But but, sniffles, then my pike wont one shot horsemen because my now super low effective wpf........pretty sure an armored horse running into a pike would snap the pike like a twig.

super low weapon prof ^ due to large weight, and switch from blunt to cut or give it peirce it has those little spikes on the end. And unbalance the thing already.....its huge.

The same applies to poleaxes, swiss halberd, english bill etc. So no. Also I'm fairly sure that any horse armored or not would be made metwurst if they were stupid enough to try their luck.

So your saying if I take Mr Plow charger with his plated chest......which is wedged to glance blows. Not to mention the horse is blinded so it will only obey the riders commands. You will get a pike to actually kill that horse?

The pike isn't unbalanced because it is held at the bottom and middle of the WOODEN pole. WOOD doesn't weigh 12 pounds, and neither does the 2 inch spear at the front.
I can't tell if you're trolling with all your shitty suggestions, or if you're really just as dumb as box of rocks.

I just want to let you know a little more about weight mechanics.
Weapon weight does not lower wpf. Also, if it did, that would only further make your suggestion stupid.
I will also rescind the comment on the fact that a 10 weight long spear could not be crush-through, and If I overhead then thrust at you you would be weapon stunned so long you would not have a single chance to swing back. It is true that the pikemen would move MUCH slower. Also, this notion of hoppy hoppy pikemen in 35+ armor -- well, 35 armor is low-mid tier armor, so that is conceivable -- But there are no heavy armor players that can hop. Agility stackers don't put heavy armor on for various reasons.
Anyways, that is a pretty terrible idea objectively speaking.

Most long range and heavy weight weapons (like swiss halberd or long voulge) already have quite low damage, on top of a siow speed and / or no side swings.

GLB and flamberge are the only exceptions to this, and they're both very slow and expensive (especially the flamberge).

If you made weapon weight reduce WPF, you would make a lot of these long ranged weapons useless.

That would make the weapon even more OP.

Movement speed is not the problem, and giving such crazy weights on the long spear and pikes would cause MASSIVE BLOCKSTUN.

It would make them even better at support, you would block a stab from a pike and be blockstunned for several years and die a very quick death with no chance of retaliation.
