Who's idea was it to give Donks admin anyway? In any case, I can think of about 10 reasons why I already prefer the official servers to the community ones. I'll just add this incident and this admin to the growing list of reasons.

+1 from me. I got banned for my name, which I've been using for months with no problems. There is nothing in the server rules against swearing, however I was banned without warning. I could give up and just change it, but I'm probably better off playing on the big boy servers from now on. So goodbye community servers. I'll see you when the old admins come back or the new ones get less ban happy.

I had a whole post ready to go. It was a thing of beauty, denouncing the mentality of the many, many egocentric, fuck-headed children who play this game. I did not support any particular person here, instead I chose the side of intelligence--of responsibility, with much candor. So much sarcasm... I even brought elephants into the fray. There were metaphores and flying lizard people, too.

But then I spazzed and hit some magical combination of keys that sent me back a fucking page, and all my rage dissappeared.

I might suggest to some of the Things ("people" or "children", I guess, though their behavior does not suggest that so human a label would be appropriate) follow my lead. Accidentally hit the "back" button, or close your laptop, or fall off your chair and knock yourself unconscious on the corner of your desk for a short amount of time. Do something, anything, which might interrupt your train of thought, and in so doing pull your mind from this thread like a drowning person is pulled from the ocean by a passing fisherman--by a happy cooincidence, in other words. While you're metaphorically drying off, think about the ridiculous things you planned on saying. Think about the stupidity that you would have subjected the world to had that happy cooincidence not occured.

Then fuck yourself with a rake.

Donk has a task before him that I've asked him to perform (I.e. Take care of the servers, enforce the rules, make other admins enforce rules, an add/remove admins as necessary). He is only doing what I asked (such as the statement before). Please understand that the reason why the community servers have suddenly become strict when enforcing rules is because of what we plan on providing when I return on the 31st.

There may be some people caught in the cross fire here and there, which we(admins) will explore and try to correct as much as we can. However, until the 31st, please be kind to donk and cut the guy some slack. He does have experience in community management, but he's still new to the community. Though that may sound like a bad thing, it does have a unique quality no one else can bring, such as:

Unbiased Decisions
Clear cut rules
Professional, though strict, opportunities for the future.

I will ask him to throttle back the ban times, or discuss his actions in private with those who approach him in a civil manner. However, these ARE community servers. That means that players, not one person pays for them. Because of that, it is our responsibility to provide, as much as we can, an enjoyable playing experience for as wide a player base as possible.
