Assassin mode:
Like lances we need to press X when we approacing someone from behind. And the weapon will be like 200pierce damage for 1-2 seconds. To redo this we gotta wait 30sec. I'm not a stealth killer not a ninja or whatever but if you aproach someone from behind you can easily kill him since he dont recognize you.

What do you guys think?

It's 36cm. Will be easy to escape once you recognize. And if he fail you'll probably kill him back because the boast is only for 1-2 seconds. A normal dagger on his hand with no chance of blocking.

Would go hand in hand with the smokebomb suggestion, that way we could assassinate the whole team in the clusterfuck. Also add an invisibility cloak for ninjas. Don't forget to add polevault mode for pikes.

I suggested this a long time ago, to no avail.

I think it would be very awesome, (perfect for Ninjas) and realistic. A slow, light, only thrust weapon, made only for backstabbing, that can't block anything.

Realistic because if you were sneaking up on someone you should be able to find a crack in someones armor and stick your dagger straight through the neck or balls or somewhere.. xD

I also bet someone would find other creative uses for it, and killing with it in a serious fight would be somewhat a prestige kill.

I'm all for it.  Once saw some guy running around with nothing but a dagger, picking off newbie archers much like myself.  I thought it was a pretty awesome play style.

Still, would it work wearing a shield?  I'm just having a very hard time picturing an assassin running around with shields - hell the guy I mentioned didn't and he did fine.  I don't have a problem with shield + dagger as a play style but if they suddenly get this ability then fighting 1-handers might become... well, different.

It's not gimmicky shit for Ninjas.

Knights always carried a dagger too, to finish off other knights fallen to the ground. To stick it between the slits of their vizier, to fight when they fell down in a wrestle on the ground. (Where your polearm or whatever wasn't much use, and trying to kill someone in armor with your hands might not be very efficient..)

Additional use:

When someone knock you down with a maul-like weapon, weapon automaticly changes to this dagger with 200pierce boast for 2 seconds. If you can thrust you survive unless you die.
