I'm using the scythe with this build to keep enemies at a distance while maintaining all 4 attack directions.

It keeps things varied and interesting for me.   

Just wondering, do you happen to bounce/glance quite a lot or?

Why not fauchard? 10 less reach, but a lot more speed and pierce damage for taking out those charging cavalry. Also, it's sheathable.

For the STR build I'd recommend sacrificing 1 IF for 1 ATH. Helps a LOT. Then when you hit 31 you can add the IF, then 32 you get 12 IF. Real nice.
