Weather and Time of Day

Bring back rain, fog, night time.  All that good stuff. Im tired of fighting in perfect weather all the time. No bad visibility means its hard to be sneaky. As an aside, speaking of bad weather, its snowing again... more shoveling...

It was nice to play without having to ruin my eyes and getting a headache.

Also, its kinda hard to block when its so dark and stuff. Well, on the other hand, being in the Ninja team would perhaps not mean an auto-defeat, since their spam gets another buff when its harder to see their swings. But again, still a 50 % chance to get their swings even if you dont see anything. So no, not worth it, def not.

When you dont have skill, like Ninjas, its better when you and your enemy both see nothing cos if both can see properly, Ninjas lose. Both seeing nothing makes skill not important.

It creates variety. Variety is a good thing. Dont fight during night time if you dont want to. Do something else if it "hurts your eyes." Almost impossible to sneak around in broad daylight. 1/3 day, 1/6 dusk, 1/6 dawn, and 1/3 night and it will be fine. Throw in some inclimate weather and we will finally have some variety to our battles again. Whiner is gonna whine. I want variety.

Cant wait the strategus battles where people who join 2 min late have heavy fog while others have sunny clear sky.

Please remove night time from cRPG, it is much more frustrating than helpful for a LOT of people as they have to turn up their gamma or otherwise they cannot see anything. I think dusk and other settings are completely fine, but night is just too dark (even more so with some graphical mods).

I have suggested it so many times. Why not some servers with weather, darkness and stuff, and some normal servers without that shit?

Then everyone would be happy.

Its definately possible, so dont tell me some shit like HARDCODED or cant be done.

Siege had normal (native) settings (no darkness, no weather at all) at the beginning, duel server still has.

If there was at least one server without that shit, I wouldnt have to rage now. 
And be it siege. I hate siege, but at least I could see something.

Even at dusk and dawn with my system its really hard to recognize anything, especially when I want to play as lancer at full speed impossible to distinguish friend and foe..................meh there is a reason why native servers dont have that.

Is there a way to disable weather except DX7? I think it would be fair to give people the choice to play w/o weather effects. Not to mention the effect on the gamebalance, when it's heavy fog and archers switch to DX7.

I love weather, it adds a lot of mood. And to inform Michael, that not all battles were fought in bright sunlight. Sorry about your autopilot lancing gets thrown off, but weather, night and fog, actually introduces an interesting perspective, and forces people to play different, changes the maps. Not everyone wants to do the same shit again and again in pure daylight.

I agree that there shouldn't be too much night as in 50% of the time, but sometimes.. yes. Perhaps 10-20% of the time should be night, rest dusk, day and dawn. Fog is a very nice element too.

And it's not true that DX7 removes fog in itself. Depends on the settings you have..

Maybe it's just unlucky computer placement, but a night map when it's actually 2pm means I can't see shit.
