Hey Bifi
And I'd like to make a request
Some more mid level armours to be put in, please (such as padded leather coat or red/white mail over tunics)
Because right now I either use the padded jacket OR heraldic mail
And also a light cavalry class (under mercenaries)
They would have:
Horse: level 3 horse
Weapons: Light lance, sword/mace, plain/round/elite cavalry shield
Armour: Padded jacket/padded cloth/Aketon/gambesons/studded leather coat, leather boots (cos you don't need higher, ever)
Leather cap/padded coif/mail coif/footmans helmet
The idea behind this class is that low level cavalry can play with a wider variety of cheap gear.
For example,
Horse: Palfrey
Weapons: Sarrinid sword, round cavalry shield, light lance
Armour: Leather boots, footmans helmet, padded jacket
This comes to a cost of 15046
Also, the light lance is the fastest of the lances, so you can build up your wpf and still get kills
The max requirment (str) is 7
The max agi requirment is 12
And btw, to new players to rose planning on being cavalry, I would suggest getting agi and str to 9 and then going full agi to 15 and then going full str.
This allows your top gear to contain a warhorse (at least) with decent wpf for lances and swords
It will also make the courser even faster if you have your riding at 5, very useful.
Perhaps more agi would be useful, but personally 60 points of wpf to give me 10 points off effective wpf (past 100) is not worth it. Especially seeing as we're mostly 1h/pole
But if you want to hybrid to a third class of weapon, you'll need 21/24 agi.
I hope this helps anyone who needs it
New players planning on being infantry (shielded) should level the agi and str to 9 equally. From there you have to decide if you want to move faster, gain negligible wpf and make your shield last longer or weild better weapons, do more damage and wear better armour. Personally, I find it effective to go to 15 str/9agi. Only using str points for powerstrike. Then do some sums (based on having 0 attribute/skill points at 9agi/9str):
6 levels to get str to 15, so 6 skill points. 2 of these go to power strike, so you're left with 4.
(going to 12 agi max overall) another three levels, 7 total skill points.
Skills needed: Shield, athletics*, weapon master*
(*may not be needed past a certain level. Possibly 3 for athletics, 3 for weapon master unless going hybrid)
If you max it all, you're left with 4 skill points.
This can be used to boost base stats of your char for quicker skill level threshold reaching, or saved for a higher skill in each.
Boosting base stats will be used when you want to only raise (eg) Power strike and shield because you swing fast enough and move fast enough already
Hoarding your skill points will be used for max leveling all of your skills, to create a very well balanced character.
Balanced characters will have lower base stats and therefore lower maximum skills
It all depends on your play
I hope that makes sense, I know it sounds complicated.
And sorry for so much information in one post.
