I recently played a Siege (as defender) in Strategus, and that was pretty much absurd.

Attackers couldn't do anything : any deployed ladder would break before someone reach the top, any deployed catapult would break before they use it once under a rain of arrows (wtf?).

I suggest to change their hit points and make it something durable enuff to be useful.

some other ides ? discuss ?

I agree the siege equipment should be much more robust.  Its silly a few arrows can kill a healing tent.  Siege equipment HP & ARMOR should be based off the amount of materials or slots it takes to use

just some rough numbers off the top of my head

100 HP & 1 ARMOR per construction materials

Weapon Rack = 500 hp
Healing Tent = 15k hp
Large Siege Tower = 42.5k hp

250 HP & 10 ARMOR per slot for ladders

- buffed cata damage, increased health of cata and ladders
- ladders start now at a steeper angle and take less time to be deployed

Um don't think so maybe a little more for high end ladders like the siege ladder but for lower level ladders no. Ladder stacking can still be a issue and 1 person with 4 little ladders that cant be destroyed easily will mean constant defeat for the defenders.

If only catapult ropes damage from arrows, solved this problem. Ropes take more damage like head shots, but wood low or not take damage. This is more realistic.

Yepp, that is now the issue at the omaha map. A lot of cheap ladders to climb the  low roofs to make an easy way to the flag.
Now it takes to lang to take them out.

I think it's fine actually. If the engine allowed it, you would push ladders instead of breaking them.

To make sieges more fun, I think the whole gamemode should be revamped to make a better use of siege equipment.

A way longer duration to encourage the effective use of catapults, towers and tents, smaller defender respawn timer to balance it up and centered spawns for defenders near the flag (not spawning all over the castle and dying immediatly because you are surrrounded by attackers).
