Stab the ever living fuck out of the horse head, laugh as you kill armored horses in a hit thanks to their own speed used agaisnt themselves.

Watch the guy on the plated charger laugh as his morningstar crushes the fuck out of your skull as your puny attack just wounds the horsie.

I've friggin headshotted a plated charger with a MW arbalest+ MW steel bolts just before he ran me over. Didn't kill it.

Fortunatly, all the other horsies do die in 1 headshot.

I personally try to do more right swings and less overheads because I find it hard to gauge the timing of overheads vs cav, but above is pretty spot on.

Yes, this works great. When I'm on foot and using a 1h I dont think I'm having a hard time against cav. You just have to know when to sidestep  .

Move left so cav steers to adjust, then jump right and swing left to right. Or move right, then jump left and swing left to right.

I always (try to) jumpslash enemy cav. It's much easier than you think. Or just step aside and slash. Only thing you need is a bit of athletics and some practice.

Sidestep when they get real close and slash em accordingly, if they try to outrage you, just walk away from their weapon.

High cut weapons seem to work very well any anything but the heavily armored horses. The military Cleaver and Arabian Cav sword can really do a number on them. If else fails, go pierce.

Just stand still, and stare down the rider as he gallops towards you. Hold your ground, gritting your teeth and clenching your genitalia in concentration. At the last moment side step ever so slightly, and bring your weapon down upon the charging horse's head. My god its so awesome to do that successfully--you feel like a jesus.

only the thrust only/mainly Renaissance style swords are much of a threat to plated charger.  Anyone with a low dmg thrust I'll run over because I'll be doing alot more damage to them than they do to the horse.  Plus if you're using morning star you can pop their head like a watermelon afterwards

The biggest problem I have with melee vs me as a cavalry lancer is when people jump and stab directly in front of my horse (they usually start to one side or the other and jump right into my path), usually my lance is off to one side or the other and facing more down towards the ground, I find it hard to hit someone who is basically right in front or above my horses head (in my view).  It takes time to bring the lance up and center when it's normally down and to the right (and it's basically impossible if I'm couching to hit someone who does this technique).  If you're having problems with cav running you over when you're blocking, your best bet is to aim for the horses head.  if you hit the horse with a decent swing it will stop it in it's place (at least it does with stabs).

If you're having problems with cav running you over when you're blocking, your best bet is to aim for the horses head.  if you hit the horse with a decent swing it will stop it in it's place (at least it does with stabs).

Full Speed horse will get 1 shotted most of the time if you stab it in the head as horse have the HP of a pre bubescant schoolgirl.
