Great Long Axe vs Great Axe. Opinions?

I like great axe myself.  I found it was a good mix of speed, range & dmg.  THe length of GLA is also a negative when you get into close spaces and its on the slower side for weapons.  I'm not a duelist or great blocker anyways, so the unbalanced on Great Axe didnt affect me much.

Ya, might wanna have your house in order before you go talking shit Spanish.  Hospitaller has some of the worst shielders in NA, while we have just about the best.  Your cav is nearly all terrible except you and devil.  You have 0 support classes to speak of, You cant teamwork your way out of a wet paper bag.

Spaniard, you're a cool guy, but I gotta go with the NH dudes on this one. Sometimes it feels like Hospitaller goes out of their way to recruit poor players. There have been several occasions where I have seen some of your members carrying multiple shields. Seeing someone with that kind of setup just to compensate for poor blocking is bad enough, but for that person to also be in a clan is just plain... wrong.

Spanish and his shitlords have worked their way up to top priority kills (because they're easy and there's a lot of them ;)) in Dracul as well, which should almost be a compliment considering we're one of the smaller groups around.

Great Long Axe vs Great Axe. Opinions?

The #1 reason I switched to polearms is because all of the 2H axes are "unbalanced", and I really wanted an axe.

I'm pretty mediocre at parrying anyway and having to parry with an unbalanced weapon is just crippling for me.  Also tends to result in more teamhits because you're less able to stop your swing.

Stat-wise I think the Great Axe is nice and as Diggles mentioned the greater length of the Great Long Axe is more of a liability than an advantage but I just couldn't get past the fact that the Great Axe is unbalanced, whereas the pole axes aren't.

It might actually be interesting to try a "Long Axe".  42 cut vs 45 on the Great Long Axe; 93 speed vs 91; but 115 length vs 125 might make it a little more viable in a crowded situation.

If you're going 2H, I personally like the Great Sword and the German Great Sword.  For working with a team, it's nice to have a good thrust that you can poke in between allies.  Also handy for killing cavalry (best reach).

The real problem with trying to solo us is that you are solo.

Imagine how many of us you could kill with a few good clanmates behind you!
