It's very minor, but tbh if an archer fires all of his shots in one round, he's probably been sitting in the back of the map for too long.

And more realistic. Archers couldn't bring so many arrows in battles. Most part of the time, they stay behind, in range, on a line, with a pack of dozen arrows at their feet. Very few archers were wearing a quiver, and quivers never contained a lot of arrows.

And the bow that should have the longest range is the English long bow, not an other.

Concept behind ammo reduce:

High power arrows(bodkin +7 dam) -> low count(16)
Low power arrows(+2 dam) -> high count (28)

Horses are a bit cheaper. Katana is 35 damage slash. So far I've noticed those two changes.

Both of your statements mean you know nothing about Mongol, Turkish, Rus(sian) or Asian archers and bows.

Longbow (i.e. a "simple" bow) is actually a very primitive bow design, why should it have "the longest range"?

Because as far as i know the longbow had the largest draw power (almost 200lbs, for those that could pull that) and that directly translates into range.

It does not ... composite bows work differently for example. The english longbow was a weapon of the middle ages wich made heavily armored knights irrelevant in battles and the composite bows where a later introduction to warfare in europe at least. You can't really compare those two.
Realism is not an issue anyway... if you try to be realistic then a longbow should pierce armor like nobodies business even at long ranges and archers would be absolutly overpowered in our setting (wich doesnt compare at all to a real battlefield)
