i think for Rosters you should be allowed to hire 60(or whatever the number) but there should be a fill in roster where if someone from the 60 hasn't join with5-10 minutes of the fight they are replaced
The purpose of wearing plate has become nothing more than crippling yourself to look like a knight... or maybe its my lack of athletics

I thought of similar things in the past, it would be a good idea.  Have a main roster like now and a subs roster that allows them to join if there is a free spot.

It's not all that difficult to just have a commander on around battle time and kick out those who aren't present in favor of those who are

Why not make an easy automated system though? Would save a lot of time and effort for the commanders and surely can't be that hard to implement? Though within 5-10 mins of fight might be a bit much, I'd reduce that to within 2mins of the fight max. Most, if not all, should be on the servers before it even switches to the battleground. And then once kicked, rejoin immediately.

Saying 'you need to be organised' is all well and good, but if a system can make commanders lives that little bit easier, then it is a good system.

not necessarily.

A good commander is one that has people he knows and can trust.

A bad commander hires anyone that applies for 0 gold.

It's perfectly fine that the good commander has an advantage.

This might be true but you're forgetting few things: not all are online 24/7 and not all have clans of like 100 people to choose from, allied with other clans of 70+ members. I can be the best commander ever but if i don't have enough "renown & trustworthy" people applying for my battles then I'll either hire some random jerks (who probably wont show up and if they do - they'll disobey any tactical orders and waste resources) or just fight outnumbered.  Being a good commander has absolutely nothing to do with numbers and especially with real life circumstances.
Do you honestly think you have any sort of moral authority, Reyiz? Go genocide some more armenians and deny it ever happened, please, and stay in the middle east.

Plus RL gets in the way. You may have the best players in the game applying to your side, who genuinely think they can make it, then for whatever reason something crops up and they don't. It happens quite often. Being a good commander isn't the only thing at play here.

Just ask to your possible mercs to be present on server 3 and on your TS, 20 min before the battle.

You could see who is here and who is not.

80% of battles I have done have been absolutely fine. Commander has told everyone to go to TS, yesterday Kinngrimm even took a register and changed out those who weren't available.
There is no truth only a series of interpretations.

So what your saying is a good commander is one that hires only people from his clan + the best players. And a bad commander is one that lets any of the other people play....
