Frame rate stutter :/

only this mod causes my mod to framerate stutter; i have to limit frames to 30 so that 85% of the time it doesn't stutter; but it can get very bad on siege sometimes.

this doesn't happen in ANY OTHER MOD, with ANY OTHER SETTINGS.

so why this one?


Amd Athelon dual core 2.60 ghz
Memory 4 Gigs
32 bit windows vista (game is run on admin)
9400 gt Nvidia card, 512 memory on card
6150 le motherboard.

to reiterate, my game will randomly skip frames, even on a low-intensity map w/ settings to match. ill get the full frames, but it will also skip frames. this is only when i don't limit my fps.

the reason this is a problem is because in some maps im runing at 25 fps so the stuttering comes back. please help.

+1 same here. Having load textures on demand seems to help it a little bit for me, fps not as stable though.

Try to disable Vertical Sync, too. Helped me a lot.
Limit frames to something over 120.

Right, well i have played with all the settings, looked at almost all the threads, and it still comes back! help!

turn off HDR and/or any dymanic lighting.  ALso if you have shadows on any medium or higher setting this will rape your FPS.

I have this same freezing/stutter problem. I can set my graphics all to high and get good fps and get the stutters, mainly at start of battle rounds and constantly on siege, and I can set all my graphics to as shitty as possible and still get the stutter while still having good overall fps. I tried the optimization mod and the low res texture mod and still get the freezing. Very very annoying, but I still play cause I love this game

edit: I've had this problem for quite a while now but when I was originally playing the mod it was fine.

I've never had any problems with crpg before the last patch but now I can't play for 5 minutes without getting freezing. The game will just jump back forth between two frames constantly until I minimise Warband. When i go back in it is fine but then it happens again. It seems that C-rpg uses about 0.5 GB more RAM then native. Maybe it's my PC struggling but it's never happened before now.

Edit: Turning some video settings down seems to have fixed it. Performance is on 50% now.

the thing is that any other mount and blade mod/game doesnt do this. ONLY CRPG.

does this game tweak with rendering elements?

I had the same problem and could never fix it. I just play on less powerful laptop and i dont get the issue anymore.

I think its most probably a problem with Spawning, because everytime there are masses of Spawning my game lags, in both Battle and Siege.
