Not sure where strat suggestions go so meh move it if needed :D


As an example ill use the battle between mercs and BRD (note i dont know much so ill invent numbers ^^)

As BRDs army was wtfpwned and routed they appear to have kept most of thier troops (flame meh if im wrong)

In my opinion when armies are routed via spawn capture a certain % of thier troops and equipment should be captured.

1. because routing troops may surrender
2. baggage train would be plunderd and as we dont have food atm lets say it has spare items ^^

The numbers will need tweaking but say 1000 troops are routed maybe 10% are captured and 15% of items in the army are stolen (im assuming 10% taken with the prisoners and 5% from the train)

You should ofc be able to ransom the troops back so the leader of the attacking BRD army would have an option appear to ransom these troops from the owner/commander of the attacked village/army lets say 10 strat gold per troop (this might be cheap but as i said numbers can be changed or tweaked) Now any good (or poor) commander may choose to deny this ransom and keep the gold.

To save a problem for the mercs perhaps if refused 1-10% of the troops captured could join them while the rest are put to death.



(IF food for armies is implemented this could be more interesting)


As a basic idea i like it now discuss and poke some holes in it :D It might be considerd pointless or more work for our demi god coders when they could be coding something usefull so hit me with all you got :D
