No upkeep Saturday/Sunday

The inspiration from this came from Melee Monday

Basically, one day at the weekend, there is no upkeep OR any gold exp gain. This will allow players to mess about in the higher tier things they have purchased without fear of bankruptcy.
For obvious reasons, this will only be held on one server, else we'll get rages against not being able to level

I would suggest the EU4 servers as they are quite large and can house all the players who'd like to do this

One weekend day is way too much, a lot of people have jobs and play mostly in the weekend. 2-3 hours one weekend day or a night on a weekday would be ok though.

and "free weekends" is just another feeble attempt at circumventing it, again.

It's not circumventing anything because he said there'd be no xp and gold gain. People would just play for fun, no crazy grinding. I say - if that's just one day and one server - make it happen.

Edit: Also you might wanna change the topic title and make it somehow clear that it doesn't make the weekend "free" (if I understood you correctly).

And why? I started playing like 2 weeks before the big patch that introduced upkeep, i just farmed for my gothic plate i get to wear time from time, mostly with friends. I do not think having the opportunity to play without xp/gold/upkeep is too tempting, i mean: why would i bother when i can actually do the same wreckage on "normal" server and then play in leather for few rounds to make up for the gold loss (which is not that big deal, in mail hauber, winged helm, mail over leather greaves and red wisby gauntlets, with german sword and usualy barmace, i am actually EARNING money).

I feel you, i mean, i know why you want this implemented, yet i would not say it would help anything.

WEll hell I said yes, but only for a day, I spend most of my time on the reward-less duel server because I can use whatever gear I want. Would be nice to battle like that once in a while.

Oh, having a good reason doesn't mean it's good to come up with a fail "solution". Like "oh damn we have too much unemployed people !" "okay, let's build a big landmark to create some jobs"...

Upkeep is short-sighted and brutal, the prototype of the easily designed, fast implemented and half-assed solution.
