2 Keys, 2 Computers, 1 player

Ok guys, I've got a bit of a problem here.
I have two separate Computers, both with unique Warband keys. I want to use the one I didn't start playing cRPG with because it has double the processor speed, and the old one is dieing.
I can't play Warband properly on the 5-year old, because I'm getting problematic bugs, specifically what appears on the screen is a slower version vision of what's actually happening(Everything is actually faster, even on M&B multiplayer, than what I see).(Help me there if you can)

I had purchased two keys to allow for my brother to play at the same time as me, since we had gotten two computers(this was before the old one went haywire). (suspect me if you wish.)
I did not abuse this with cRPG, just disclaiming.

The problem is that I cannot play cRPG on the new computer anymore because frankly, cRPG prevents this because of the recent troubles with account hacking. I have searched and found another thread with a similar title to this one, and he was told to switch out his secondary Warband key with the one that his cRPG account is linked to.

What I'm wondering is: Will/Can this have any unintended effects on any of my other mods or cRPG itself? I could do the key-switch at any moment, I just don't want it to screw up my game.
Indeed.

Yeah you only have to do the key switch, your character are linked to cd-key, that's the only thing, it will not change any other mods.

Wait till someone can confirm but i'm pretty sure you don't have to worry.

hey guys,

I don't know if my question is off topic or not, but I'm playing crpg and I have a main character on my computer at home, but I would like to buy a second computer (or laptop) and play the same character on crpg. Can I just copy my crpg-file into my new computer or do I have to start a new account on crpg? Or should I even buy a new copy of the game (by the way I bought mine on steam)

Hope you can help me  :D

thanx

You can just install the game with steam on your new computer/laptop or w/e.

Your cRPG account is based on you GameID which is created for 1 serial.

You won't be able to play with both computers at the same time though.

But you don't need to buy Warband again.

All your characters are bound to your CD-Key and are stored on our servers.
You don't need anything except the key to use your characters on the other computer.
Not sure how it is with steam but if you running warband as a standalone you can switch your cdkey by doing the following:

Press the Windows Start button, depending on your windows either do run... and enter regedit or enter regedit in the "Search programs and files" bar and press enter.
the registry editor will pop up.

Expend HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Expend Software.
Click on MountAndBladeWarbandKeys.
Right-click serial_key on the right side and choose modify.
Copy&paste or just enter the cdkey your characters belong to and press enter.

That will change your warband cdkey.

please only do that if you are comfortable using the regeditor and be aware that i do not take responsibility for anything you screw up in there :P

thanx guys!  :D
so I can just keep playing my main char on my new pc? do I have to copy my existing crpg-module/file to my new pc or can I just download a new file on c-rpg.net.
oh and I hope it's not necessary to change my serial key, I'm afraid I will do something wrong and change my computer hash or whatever it's called.  :D

err might wanna read my post again.
the ONLY thing you will need is the same cd-key you played with so far.
as in if you don't use that cd key on the new computer you can not access your characters.

you don't need to copy any local files.

after you changed your cdkey to the one you're characters are bound to you just need to create a new "profile"/character in warband with the name of your crpg character and it will get the level/items/gold that is has in crpg.

if you use a different cdkey it will be naked and level 1.

also as you are using steam you will be able to just use the same steam account you used so far as that will register your cdkey anyway so no probs on your side at all :P
just install steam on the laptop, log in with your steam account, start warband and recreate your character and it should work.
