[Map Request] Duel Map

I realize this sounds silly, asking for a custom duel map, but I'm looking for a duel map that simulates narrow corridors and pathways that are similar to castle walls.

The purpose of this is to practice siege combat with a single other person, to understand and perform better in the tight confines and long drop-offs that accompany attacking or defending siege walls.

I'm picturing a small map (maybe twice the size of the duel arena) with all the types of terrain that a castle would have. With scaffolding structures for the duelists to do combat.

ie Corridors that are about 2 and 3 people wide, scaffolding that is high enough for combatants to fight on simulated walls. The tops of siege walls and breaches for combatants to fight on the ramps... that sort of thing.

If anyone would like to take on such a duel map, that'd be great (cos I'm terrible with map editing, much less creation) !

It's a good idea. I'd practice in it. Fighting in castles can be nightmarish with my polearm guy.

Unfortunately, I've never even tried to make a map in warband.

There is a nice Castle scene in Warband, actually.

I remember it was used once on the dueling server. Cav was screwed though.

Horrible idea dex, but I support it! All you backpeddlin figure eight side swinging pricks will suffer......muahahahaha. yeah bored at the airport and felt the need troll dex.....awesome idea, do it!

Someone should make a map with a couple different areas for different fighting styles. Like, a big open plain next to a castle with a jousting arena.

That already looks amazing, Dandelion!

One thing I could make a suggestion on is maybe a ladder to the roof (with the carpet on it) so duelists who want to practice specifically on rooftop combat can have quicker access to that spot.

yeah the arena is horribad place to duel. Not enough room for cav to practice!

So, I've worked a bit more on it, and I think I could call it finished now. The roof with carpets is now connected. Added some pointless things like a boxing ring, a stage for clan group pictures, and parkour-like ruins.

Looks nice, I suggest you also add a few fences in the open field. Might be useful sometimes. And is there a ladder somewhere?

That might be too big......and players will get lost  trying to find each-other. Duel server doesn't normally have more than 20 people at time. Perhaps make it smaller, more accessible. Only include features of buildings and not the whole building itself.

If the spawnpoint is set to the lower middle (inside the castle) you're just a hop away from everything. Cav could ride that short way over the bridge quickly.
