deleted main char, now cant select a main

If I create new chars it gives me the option on the website to make them my main for strategus, but the option doesnt show for my other old ones, just shows them as "alternate"

I deleted my main to make an alt my new main, now Im kinda frooped.

This is how it normally works.
Any character that existed while you had a "Main" will be permanently listed as an "Alt."

seeing as how i play casually, I don't have time to grind another character to 30. My "main" had a screwed build and I wanted to delete and make my alt a main because it was the one I would rather play. I really don't understand the mechanic that excludes alts from becoming mains if there is no other main on the account. What purpose is that for? I am supposed to level another char to 30 with the same build as one i already have??!?!

If you want to select a character for a Main, it has to be a freshly made character (a character you made after you deleted your main).
There are a few reasons why switching mains to already made alts is not allowed, which I cba to write down.

its simple, marketplace abuse.
You sell everything, then you change main and buy everything from all of your alt.
If you don´t want to grind again you can use skip the fun option.

Btw, why did you set a main that has a crapy build?

Also, if it's only build that needs fixing it's a lot better to respec or retire.

well, didnt realize i can skip the fun with a new char now. I guess that will have to do since no one cares about the plight of one guy who plays casually.

now im getting some kind of problem getting into servers at my brother's house. did they implement some IP thing, only letting one acct into a server per IP?

Accounts are tied to CD keys, if you are using a different CD key then you will not be able to use your character. In addition, only one CD key is allowed to access cRPG at a time to prevent multiple computers using the same account at once.

Since it is your brother's house, is it using his copy of Warband and not yours? Probably a CD key thing.
