Miaodao lost efficiency????

I have waited 5 days playing about 8 hours a day to raise money to buy a tempered miaodao and imbue it with a heirloom point to balanced, and now i realized that a point of speed has been removed and another potential masterwork speed point has been removed setting the balanced miaodao to the initial 96 score with the new patch... honestly 80% of my fun is wasted as I chose the weapon knowing it had a balance between speed and cut damage, but now it is as if i had made no heirloom point at all... the only hope of a miaodao to attack with only 3 directions without thrusting is to attack very fast, but now all my strategy is wasted, and I've played a couple of game killed before having a chance to attack ... or it seems to attack totally not fast speed, and no hope getting higher... it's no fun anymore grinding knowing that anyway the weapon speed has been reduced and it won't get higher anymore. could anything be done to keep the speed of the miaodao? maybe a heirloom point could be removed masterwork as like the other swords, but another base point??? i've invested so much to buy the weapon and imbue it waiting far past level 31 to retire to get cash and buy from the market, and it seems i don't even want to play anymore...

I know how you feel. The Miaodao was also my weapon of choice. I had heirloomed it a few times because I liked it so much. But the nerfed version just doesn't keep up with weapons that can stab anymore. Fortunately, it didn't go to complete waste as I was able to get an Balanced Longsword for it. I'd advise you trade it was well if it no longer works for you. The Longsword is a good replacement if you've gotten used to the Miaodao, but if you truly love speed, it would be easier to get an equivalent Katana for it

Good, I miss the days when I was one of only a very few people that used it, hopefully we are going back to those days and I can use my chinese sword that actually looks like a middle-eastern sword while wearing my middle-eastern armor, in peace.  By the way lolstabbing is a huge crutch, which you find out when you meet someone with a heavier weapon who actually knows how to downblock.

man so happy I traded for a longsword right before they nerfed it twice, once from the heirloom speed nerf and also reducing its speed by 1, I have a feeling my killing tons of people with a miaodao "made" it OP in some ways

Iam tired of being nerfed in all last patches so bad, that it kills all the little rest fun of playing crpg.

Come people- find me hiding in a corner- i can only block one hit - the second one will kill me, because iam to slow now to block, or parry it with a chamber.
What should i do ? Sell my MW- Miaodao??? Its really bullshit atm.

Just compare it to the Dadao same length, same difficulty and  same attack directions.

cheaper (3100 Gold less)

Miaodao
more speed (+3)

In my opinion they should cost the same or the Miadao needs a buff.

deal with it , all 3 of my MW heirlooms were effected. MW hornbow, MW tadar arrows, champ arab warhorse.

Ouch.  Anyhow I still use the miaodao just cause I'm not good with weapons that stab.  I must say its still damn good especially against other 2 handers since the nerf was across the board.  Don't worry about it.  you'll still get your kills.  The 2 speed was nice but the only difference you'll feel is fighting a longsword or a polearm

Same thing happened to me with my masterwork nodachi.

It's the only heirloom I have, and I have just mw'd it and gotten to about lvl 20 or so.  And RIGHT before I break it out to start using it they nerfed it to the same speed it was the previous generation.

I just went and played other games for a few days until the sting wore off.  Regardless of item balance or imbalance, I feel your pain.  It was pretty frustrating.  I sure didn't FEEL overpowered...

I'd recommend picking up miaodaos while the're cheap.  They're still the best 2 handers other than longsword.  If you have good footwork they're better than longsword cause you can use the range to your advantage.
