Punishment for teamkilling

Anyone else sick of being teamkilled/teamhit by some kill-hungry teammates? I think there should be somekind of punishment for each teamkill, for example loss of 1x multiplier per teamkill, any other suggestions on what kind of punishment? xp? gold? I know accidents happen but most of the time people are just careless and swing like fucking apes.
I know this was most likely suggested before but really something needs to be done about this.

I suggest a TK = 100% chance of one random equipment damaged

But I could see some downsides, peasants (Including in-disguise players) might became careless about their swings and tincans (Unskilled like me) became fearful of tk-ing their own teammates, resulting heavy teamwork loss and influx of ninja play-style.

Best would be to just revert the damage back to attacker. Therefore he kills himself and not you.

I disagree. If I'm working along with another player to take down one of the top chart players, I wouldn't want his mistake on accidentally hitting me be his last, that'd just almost diminish the chance of taking out the enemy and not contribute to the team to win.

It has been done before, and the players resented it.

Man been I've been trying to get this implemented since the second wipe in c-rpg history... why should someone suffer from someone else's careless decisions.. also if i team hit on accident I would feel a lot better if I got the damage.. not the team mate.

Oh and the one issue is if someone runs into your fight making you kill yourself... so damn this won't work  :wink:

Sorry lads but this is not a fantasy shooter (well it is a shooter but still not quite fantasy), you can't "reflect" damage back to the attacker, if i accidentally slash a teammate HE is suppose to die, not me. Vice Versa.

Reflective ff simply looks silly, was suggested over 9000 times and always rejected.

xp and gold penalties seem fine to me though.

Was always rejected cause of the stupid possibilities it would add :
-aka, people jumping in front of your swing/aim
-people being afraid of helping a teammate, more useless duels in a battle server
-undeserved punishment for an accident tk. Happens.

As people have said before me, punishment for teamhits are silly. Way to exploitable, even worse so then teamhitting on purpose. Also I think just about anyone who fights more then one opponent at a time is trying his best to line them up to hit eachother and minimize his incoming damage, punishment would be stupid in that case.

As for reflective damage.

Discussed over 9000 times. Not gonna happen on official servers.

I don't apologize for those TKs, merely type out "Backswing" when hacking down a door and some guy walks behind me.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
