Couple of them actualy, here goes;

For how much is the "forcefield" increased by each point of shield skill? What else is effected by investing points into shield skill?

What exactly is the speed rating of the shield?
Defy me, and you will know what it is to stand against a god.

Can only answer this:

Speed rating of a shield reduces the time for when you press a block and when the shield actually block incoming attacks.

Vibe is correct up above. With a 100 speed shield, it blocks attacks before it is fully raised. A slow shield like the steel shield blocks AFTER it is fully raised. With a decent amount of shield skill though, anything over 80 and you should be fine. With slower shields, you'll need a bit more shield skill.

Shield skill also increases shield speed and shield durability. I'm not sure whether durability increases armor, hit points or both.

There has been a lot of discussion on how much the force field increases, but it's not THAT much. From what I've found though, with 5 shield skill you should be able to block any arrows that are fired at your front arc. If an archer is trying to hit your feet though, you should still try lowering your shield though.

Just so you know, the forcefield is ONLY for arrows. For melee it still relies on the size of the shield. Unless you're on a horse where your shield seems to magically block the horse too.

From what other people talk, the shields durability seems to be 8% DECREASING the total dmg to your shield/1shield skill point.

People say Arena shield with 13 shield skill is unbreakable, due to that shity cooldown timer on STF can't check it right now, but maybe someone can?

remember: 39agi, 13 shield skill and do tests on some weak shield and steel shield. With 13 shield skill I bet steel shield can't be destroyed.

Ask Troublesome_Aldryk, he was trolling around with that build with another buddy yesterday or two days ago. It works. Ask Killer of Flowers in LL too, given his ... reaction... he knows first hand that it works...

21/18 is a beautiful build for a shielder at level 30, with IF and more WM this will be marvelous at level 32.
