Frequent CTD's are caused by the latest Warband patch, and can't be fixed by us. The devs said a fix will be released in the next days.
If you have Edit Mode enabled you might wanna try disabling that, it greatly reduced crashes for me.

why does it say shields above 8 weight are 2 slots?
When my heavy kite shield weighs 8 exactly and is 2 slots?
failure in communication or bug?

I wish the steel shield wasn't included, or it's size should be increased to be on par with the huscarl. Just because it is heavy doesn't mean it is bulky enough for 2 slots.

Yeah... this. What is going on? :/
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

I still realy dont understand why they buffed/nerfed/changed archery again. I thought it was just fine 2 patches ago. Still think they should nerf the Hornbow hardcore.

Would be nice if the devs actually told us, why they changed all these things on the patch notes.

I quess the patch is nice, they got some things right. But overall i still think most of the devs have herpy derpy moments...

And where the beta testers high or something? or most beta testers just there to suck chadz **** ? lmao :D

Huscarl in three patches every time it got nerfed,
- xbow and some longbows just shoot straight through it on close range
- it lost over 1/5 of hp as well as armor
- the cover was reduced with about 4 points
- i got shot in feet and head from straight ahead
- i cant use it with a crapy awlpike , so anticav is non existant as a 1h user
- couched lances = instant shield breaker in 4/5 encounters
- due to reduced coverage there is no multi ennemy defence possible anymore, you have to turn too much into their direction so you open your back for the second or third guy
- 4-5 Hits from a shield breaker and the shield is dust, so why would i care to take a shield?

Steel Shield
just not an option anymore and i just bought it for a lot of dimes and can forget about getting nearly the same amount back on the marketpalce

awlpike against cav is like 3/4 instant death due to range, even if i get to stop the freakin horse i still die because i hit the horse but the cav player hits me.
Playability comes before realism!!! give us please(with lots of sugar on it) a longer 2slot sheatable anticav
and give us 1 slot sheatable "SPEAR" which is longer then a fork or a Quaterstaff, so we can at least have some style even when it isnt very effectiv.

so basicly 1h/shield got nerfed the 3rd time in a row, not that so many of the shielders were toping the board. But as they are now mostly just slow, to counter 2h spam you need even more agi which in my case isnt anymore to encrease because i am at an reasonable agi limit already.

New armor parameters for melee are a decent buff for 1handers, especially cutting type.
