i was wondering since i still don't get what that is , if i want to use lets say the great long bardiche do i need do i need my wpf cost in polearms to be 16? thats insane if thats it.

For most weapons, it's strength, except for bows (power draw), throwing (power throw) and shields (shield skill). For horses, it's riding, of course.
