Repair Costs

I know this is going to sound like whining but the repair costs after the patch are crazy! Two rounds and I was down 4k in repairs.

My equipt

Klappevisor
Miadao
Heavy Throwing Axes
Strange Greaves
Mail Gloves
Light Kuyak

At most I was looking at 800 per round but 2k per seems a little extreme. Especially for us noobs who don't have much gold to begin with.

Yup, the new repair costs are forcing a significant drop in armour. However, new battles are going rather quick...
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.

True but I guess the question now becomes why even offer plate anymore? Or higher end armors and weapons? It almost seems like they become next to useless.

I can't even imagine what the upkeep is for cav...

You just need to play with weaker gear for some time to earn money.

You already lose money wearing anything more than mid tier armor so i really don't see the point of boosting up the prices... cost me 1273gold for a danish greatsword, 1303gold for my heavy gauntlets, 1000 something for a Rus scale armor... at this rate my little 74k gold won't last long
While you burn at the stake, i dance with the flames

What about timed repair times if something breaks instead of insta fix repair? That way even if those people with 4 million gold has something break they can't live on that pile of gold they will have to choose another armour for a wihle.

Really, the problem is that income is based on TEAM performance, while repairs are on an INDIVIDUAL basis. A small run of bad luck, and I was unable to sustain padded/leather armor, with a Great Long Bardiche. It went to unusable and I only had a few hundred gold. I was forced to sell my Haraldic Mail in order to buy a cheap weapon to use, just to get some sort of upkeep.

It used to be a 4% chance per tick for a repair that cost 5% of the base price. Now it is about 7.5% of the base price, repairs supposedly happen slightly less often, and arrows break almost every round.

Didn't your equipment also used to break more often if you were to lose? Like an extra x% or something, and if so is it still like that now?

I did the calculations, it is 8%.

As for the chances of broken equips? Not sure..

I went to normal arrows because i was sick of paying 808-1212 per round on top of the random absurd amount for my bow

I am using this on my shielder and still loosing money.

Lether Jerking 669 Gold /8% Repair: 53 Gold
Rus Cavalry 412 Gold /8% Repair: 33 Gold
Nordic Lether Helmet 361 Gold /8% Repair: 29 Gold
Leather Gloves 289 Gold /8% Repair: 23 Gold
Nordic Champion Sword 9285 Gold /8% Repair: 742 Gold
Huscarls Round Shield 6458 Gold /8% Repair: 517 Gold

Sum :1397 Gold

That means I can lose every round around 1,4k Gold if I am unlucky.
With the new patch I am a 1-Shot-Victim and have to pay so much gold for it... Also the shield breaks faster than prepatch... perhaps it has to do with the enormous dmg of Archers and the new OP trowers.
Look at the gear its very low and the armor does not give good protection...
