HUGE Problem with autoblocking "hackers"

** Note: Haven't read a majority of the post.  May be repeating others thoughts!

I've been playing cRPG on-and-off for 4 years now (very sporadically mind you).  I will say... I've always wondered if folks had auto-block hacks.  Or even auto-attack hacks... as they seem know how to swing as soon as you let off block.

With that said... hacks or not... the game is hell of a good time fun, even if I do still suck after 4 years.  So first let me brag on cRPG...

And what I've learned over the 4 years (as most of you have) is that you get better by playing.  I've played sporadically of these 4 years because I have a life.  I've certainly gotten a lot better (I mean a lot better).  But some players don't have a life... and more power to them (in cRPG... not real life, they suck there).  And that's the way it should be... you put in the time... you get better.  And some guys are naturally better, cause they have more talent.  And it should be that way.

That's what makes cRPG brilliant to me.  Dudes are actually super skilled.  It's the most skill based game I've ever played.  Dudes that train hard (play a lot cause no life) are more skilled.  And those with natural talent and train a lot, are the elite.  No different than professional sports or the military... or real-life medieval combat.

That's why this game is amazing!  Sure it has a super step learning curve.  You can't just be good at this game, because you are good at all video games.  It may help in the long run... but you have to put in the long run to build up the muscle memory.  I'm amazed now that I block stuff... and then I think... how did I block all that... I don't even know what I did... but the muscle memory just takes over.

And once you think you're decent cause you can block decently, you realize you don't know shit about footwork... and are still amazed by some players.  That's what makes this game great to me!  I constantly find myself have mad respect for dudes abilities.  Namely footwork & positioning... which there's no hack for!

I've always been drawn to games (namely mods) that depict a more realistic gaming experience.  And of course there's the "learn the particular unrealistic nuances of cRPG", like there is in any game.  But show me a more realistic swordplay-combat game.  There's not one!

So why the boner post!  To show love for an amazing game... despite it's flaws... even if hacking is one of them (which I don't think it is).  So let me give me closing thoughts and some suggestions for thread creator, Tactics...

I say all that to say... love the game no matter hacks or not.  With that said... hacking should not be tolerated.

And from Heskey's post, it seems that it's not.  And if you are truly so mad at hackers that you feel the need to do it yourself... then do so. Test the waters as Heskey mentioned.  See what happens.  If it bans you... then you can rest with a piece of mind that folks don't hack... and you can get on with life.  Of course... not in cRPG... cause you'll be banned.  And if you don't get caught... then have fun hacking.  Make a video showing how easy it is to hack to bring attention.  Or don't tell anyone and enjoy the little it helps!  And if you get away with it... eventually others will as well... and the majority of the players will be hacking.  And at some point we'll all take notice (along withe Devs)... and a wave of bans will happen.  But for the record... I don't think you'll be able to hack.  I think it'll catch you immediately like Heskey mentioned.

And that's my opinion on the matter... for what it's worth!  The game will take care of itself!  cRPG is bigger than all of us!  Sure we (and especially the Devs) have a responsibility to make sure the game doesn't get totally out of hand.

And maybe you feel like you're doing that.  Bringing to light that hacking is out of hand.  But apparently the greater majority of the community doesn't agree that's the case.  So I'd either drop it... or try for your self!

I don't believe that many players would use autoblock software these days, why if you'd get ganked most of times, or headshotted in some of most unexpected ways.

I suspect autoaiming sometimes, though, but I explain headshotting rows to myself by the probable unreachable degree of my old friendness (they call it skill, which it probably really is) of some my old friendchers that headshot too much. So, I mean, there's no way that autoaim could raise to a higher level of being my old friend, if it's already reached, and I think that many years of point&clicking is enough to not have to have an autoaim cheat to land a green lightsaber on a red skull-shaped balloon properly.

There's plenty of more annoying things around here, I think: macrofeints and especially - macroed swings (especially macroed thrusts), lags and ping, kiting archers, paper horses. And what's for autoblock users, well they do deserve to be someone to point fingers at and laugh at, and no more, in my opinion.

If you concentrate on blocking it ain't hard at all, even multiple people. Since the combat speed is so gimped down you need to be hella slow not to block attacks if you actually try.
Blocking is just a minor aspect of fighting theese days since positioning and knowing when and how to attack and switch your playstyle is much more important considering how many hours most of us have played.

Yes hackers could easily stay ahead of devs who dont give even a little shit anymore.

No dont care. Just play for fun, if someone else does use autoblock its their problem not yours.

And there are a shitload of players who can block nearly everything.

I have yet to see someone blocking my arrows, except if you count their own faces AHAHAHAHAHA scrubs get on my level.
