I would wait until the next version is out before getting into it. Current version has some rather major issues to it.

I dled it but didn't try it out yet. What issues does it have?

For example, it is not possible to destroy factions - their lords just keep respawning and raiding villages as uncatchable one-unit parties. A good number of other issues as well. The new version should be a major update.

Also, PoP new version has come out, but they're currently doing some hotfixes to that.
