Thief 2 is simply a masterpiece. I played it amist the other mainstreamgames and I have to say that mybe the graphics are aged, but the game is still extremely immersive and insanely deep. This game is clear proof that HD graphics dont mean shit, when you have well designed levels, cutscenes, story and missions.  I havent played the other thief games so much thou...

Deadly Shadows was great, too. In a lot of ways, I think Dishonored is it's descendant. Maybe not as great, but it touches a lot of the same notes.

I'm not expecting much from the new one, though. SQUARE ENIX.

Hmm, true. But the devteam is Edios Montreal. Same that made made the most recent Deus Ex and Tomb Raider. I really liked the new Deus Ex. It had its brainfarts, but it was a solid game overall. Also Square Enix published the last Hitman. Again, a game I relatively liked, but it somewhat killed some stuff from the original I really liked, but it also brought some new stuff to the table aswell. Based on this im quessing MEH! They didnt screw up too bad with these modernized sequels they worked with in the past, so there is hope for Thief too.

I enjoyed Thief 3 but I did miss being able to use a sword, it was awesome trying to occasionally sword fight with guards because they were badass.

If you guys are fans of the Half-Life series, I highly suggest trying out the Black Mesa mod for HL2.  They did a very good job at recreating the atmosphere and feel of the original.
