I'm thinking of going cav next gen but im not sure if i should go lancer cav or 2h cav any suggestions on whats best and why.

Cav is a bad idea then in general.
Lost around 300k gold with my 2h cav in the last months. With constant x5 I manage to lose only a little gold, without x5 its just a gold sink.

light cav is no problem money wise imo.  get a lance,  courser,  medium-light armor,  a shield and a shortened spear.  youll have fun.

alternatevly a desert horse as 1h cav.

you should break even with a set up like that.

I find 2h cav with light armor and rouncey cheap and effective. Longsword would be the highest upkeep I would pay, second would be the rouncey. Investing least 2 points into shield would help when fighting against archer heavy teams.

This setup with the build 18/18 works fine but it's what you choose to use. If you don't want to pay for the longsword, shorten military scythe works good on cav too.

Lancer cav = cheapest and best cav. Best against inf, other cav + cheap horse

1h cav, no point in trying if you are not just an inf with few points in riding or NW veteran.
