The calculations some people are doing are absurd. You CAN'T get 10 loom points for retiring at 34, p.e., becase although is the same xp that you should do to retire 10 times and get 10 looms, if you go for level 34, you have actually enjoyed playing all of that xp with a superior level character. If you go retiring through all that xp, half the time you play with a -30 level character, and the other half, with a 30 level character.
Going max level makes you play 4m xp with a -30 character, and the rest with a +30 character ... it would be unfair that you get same looms for retiring at superior levels compared to retiring normally at 31.
So the idea is ok, you get half the looms and a title, so people that have tried max leveling and somehow got bored of it, have the option to retire getting some benefits too (before, you couldn't), but not equal than retiring normally.
