If it worked it would be already in the game. Sadly, the "next item as melee" flag doesn't switch models (a mirrored one in this case)

really good idea i think. why dont poll it? my vote is positive ;) and 2h mode for some poles makes sense too. actually different wpfs for melee weapons doesnt makes sense for me D: think that different wpfs for throwing axes and javelins, how absurd.

We could make the 1handers switchable too, you could flip them around so you hold on to the bladed end and hit people with the hilt for some cushthrough blunt damage!

Srsly though, we should also make all weapons thowable. I want to be able to skewer someone with a sword of war at 5m range

yes but if you hit a tincan with it and he didnt die you would then be weaponless

Throwable weapons can't be done currently because something about primarily melee weapons not being able to switch to throwing. They would have to make them all throwing weapons and have melee as the secondary mode. This would also get rid of half swording and other duel use weapons..

Most of my posts are secondary knowledge I've seen all sorts of ideas get put up and shot down for one reason or another ^.^

I'm also not a fan of the what if WSE tool can do it! I think I'll wait until i see what it can do before I accept that as valid.

I remember talk on the official forums a while ago about making spears single shot throwing weapons because 2 handers gained halfswording, and I think it was said that it is possible but due to how the game handles weapons with a throwing tag it would have to begin the round in throwing mode.
Then there would be a steady stream of whine from new spearmen and those who dont read patch notes along the lines of 'waaaa, I bought dis new polearm and when i wanted to hit the guy my guy throwed it away  :cry:' and as far as I can remember that was the only reason it didn't get added.

    ... ... while you could also use the hammerish thing at the other end. so my idea is that you could switch some weapons to another sort of damage, with the poleaxe that would be from cut to blunt damage. i don't know if the blunt weapon form should have knockdown but that is discusable.

I hate the idea to have more hammers that are swinging through the air. Hammer is the new trend i think. People running around only overhead with their hammer all the time.

No. DonĀ“t like it. Use long Maul if you want a long hammer.
I think clicking x with long maul and have it swing like a poleaxe would be crazy too. So i dont like the long axe to be hitting like a long maul. no no no .... pls ! Not more hammers !

Well I don't want that overpowered 2handers get their filthy hands on my bec and use it effectively  :evil:. Also history knows "halfswording", but not "2Hwpfawesomespampolearming"  8-). Though it would be hilarious to have pike using 2H animations! Imagine lolztab with pike  :mrgreen:
