Game Crashes

I use the Amazon version of Warband, but I run it through Steam. Well, I have been crashing on cRPG while playing a few times every day. Does anybody know how to fix this? The only thing I added to the game files is Socrates's file that gives me the old bow animations (the bow skin one isn't working!).

Unfortunately I know so many people that run Warband thru Steam and have problems with crashes.  Of course there are those that don't, however it seems that those that don't run Warband thru Steam do not have this problem.  Me for example.

Just a suggestion.  You could try it out non-steam and see what happens.  If you're still crashing after the fact then obviously...

Wow, did Miley really upset you this much? Even in this community, people usually need more of an excuse to act like a jerk of that level. What's wrong with you? I think you need to take a break.

yeah, thats it. Its not working but it caused crashes for me. never used animation file, perhaps its the same.

Try disabling sounds in the warband launcher. If you stop crashing after doing that (for a longer period to be sure), we can take it from there.

Time to format that brick and reinstall windows.

My machine is on the edge of death and I don't CTD I think I have CTDed 3 or 4 times ever.

My experience on wb crashes:

1) When using win7 32 bit I crashed a lot
2) When switching to win7 64bit they were almost gone
3) When getting a new graphics card crashes never happened
4) It started crashing again
5) I had forgotten to use the newest launcher (afaik aka newest wse script).
6) No moar crashes.

Sometimes if you're using a third-party overlay (steam, mumble, ts, vent) it can cause warband to crash. Try disabling those and then launching again.

I used to have my game crash quite often before, but then I was told to use Alt+Enter before alt-tabbing, and my game has never crashed again, except for this time.

I was playing an hour ago in EU_1, when suddenly my game froze, and my computer didn't respond, so more than a CTD was the game making my computer crash badly

Has anyone ever experienced this before?
