The ashwood pike, basically a worse version of the awlpike (at the same difficulty), doesn't seem to have any redeeming qualities. I will say that it is the most damaging (31 pierce) of the anti-cavalry polearms, but at a severe range cost. The 166 range is quite low to be a anti-cavalry weapon, especially since even the lance weapons (Light/Heavy Lance) are all longer than it.
I propose giving it some more utility on the battlefield, either as anti-infantry by adding knockdown, better anti-cavalry by adding a point or two of speed, or simply making it sheathable, like the awlpike, which is only 1 unit shorter. In any of these cases, reducing base thrust damage by 1-2 would be a fair trade off.
