I can understand why spawning ammo embedded in a player's  model would be difficult, if not impossible, but I was hoping it's possible to spawn ammo upon a throwing kill. (on the spot of the kill, not auto-retrieve)

Spawning an entire satchel of ammo would obviously be OP, so I was thinking just make it ammo x1. In a way, this makes low ammo / high damage throwing weapons more appealing.  If you can guarantee a hit = death, you can keep the ammo going almost indefinitely (at least until it hits but fails to kill, i.e. a shield)

So, please vote, and leave feedback (such as if it's impossible to code, but only if you're a coder)

1. This would ruin balance, as 10 PT lances would become OP due to 1 hit kills...
2. It's about as realistic as furry porn.

Actually, I have 3 characters, only one of which is a Thrower. You might call me ranged-biased perhaps, as they are a Xbow/Shielder, Archer, and my trash alt Throwing/Shield/Polearm/Riding to screw around with.

This is a bad idea. It would not be balance. Im sure ur saying this to make the trowing lances even better. With this spawn bs you would be able to spam throwing lances and then (if you know how to aim) kill the guy, get back the ones on the floor AND the one shot in the dead guy. Why do you think there is already little ammo? This is already a super deadly weapon both when thrown and when used as melee weapon. I tried a lolbuild on a skip the fun alt and with using only these, I managed to be really effective. So being able to respawn the throwing lances would be OP IMO. Throwing is good as it is.

anyone who is 1shotting with lances is a purely gimmick build.  it takes a huge stat investment which leaves you pretty gimp in melee and inability to wear any significant armor.  All throwing is easily countered by shields...unlike heavy xbows that have a good chance of going right thru the shield.  Plus xbows get 12-24 shots to your 4.  They're as expensive or moreso than crossbows.

Pulling an arrow out of someone isnt so easy without breaking, pulling an axe or huge stick is alot easier.  Throwing doesnt even come close to the amount of kills that xbows & archers get.  Throwing them a bone (see what I did there) by giving them a killshot ammo back is the least devs can do to bring balance to the force.

Contrary to your STF alt, throwing lance gimmick builds are a liability to their team, not an asset.

Somebody hasn't played as a thrower much. Throwing Lances againist any undamaged opponent with medium armor and a little bit of ironflesh don't one hit anymore. Countless times I've used both of my lances in people without getting kills. I may be biased because I play as a thower, but I also play as a 2h, archer, shielder, or pikeman just as often.

Truth. No throwing weapons 1 hit kill over medium armor anymore, even with 9 PT.
I'll throw even when the weapons are gone. I can always throw punches and throw up.

Not to mention 10 PT isn't even usable without if you want enough wpf to counter the 14 per PT thing. Unless of course all you want is WM and PT.

Yeah!  What about the rest of us, we're retarded too!

At any rate, it's an interesting idea, and certainly makes sense for some weapons.  What about thrown weapons with a greater heft (i.e., throwing lances)?  The only thing I can think of off the top of my head, regarding historical throwing, are franciscae and pila.  Pila bent after having been thrown, franciscae, not so much -- maybe weapons such as javelins and throwing spears might have a chance of not spawning in a dead body?  Don't QFT me just yet, I'm just pulling this out of my ass.  Still, implementation is also a concern; how will it work (I have next to no experience in anything with the module coding) and how buggy will it be?

I'd support it, if only for novelty.
