Honestly... I'm not sure why this wasn't done sooner. I mean, 80% of the community hates HA with a passion.

Edit: Yea upkeep is a bit much. I'm wearing peasant clothes and using a danish greatsword. Lost about 3k in 5 minutes.

the problem for HA is...

the arrows now have higher upkeep (due to higher breaking chance)
the general upkeep also increased :(

resulting in huge money sinks

then soon...all HA will go to other classes, and ...then will be the happy day for all other lancers, 1h cavs and class will be unbalanced again.

Almost everyone in this forum defend is own class or weapon, except some rare smart ppl who understand that all of this is related to strat battles.

Are you objective when you say that cav nerf is ok? This means cav was op i guess??

If this was true then you would not have had the horde of archers screaming "Archery is completely overpowered" when the patch hit but before the hotfix was released.

Why I feel so devs are trying to make HAing impossible? Accuracy nerfed ( true, just a bit ), my horse die like if it would be from paper, my upkeep is skyhigh, but my hurt is bigger with arrows.
I had 60k when I started to play yesterday, now I have 22k. Something is not fair :(

they not only increased upkeep but they also increased the breaking chance for arrows. Thats why i said impossible to HA.
HA u need x3 stacks of arrows, horn bow, basic body armors, horse. (optional 1h melee weap)

with this patch all HA is losing lots of money now.

I say again, use regular arrows. I have made 15k since release of the patch.

Lancing was way more realistic that we got here and peasants are supossed to die yes. You say it doesnt matter to you but you name it, how is that?. Nerf polearms also, coz peasant are too slow to get away from range. And nerf stones, a stone can kill a peasant and we dont want that...

After some short tests 40k gear sounds like a cap, wich is fine I think. Of course I need to play a bit more but after about two hours I get over 400k xp and lost 400g while fighting in eq worth 38,300.
I wouldn't consider upkeep costs as too high, now you just have to learn to manage your equipment.

It is true. I played yesterday with medium gear and lost like 30k during 2 hours, although my multiplier was something about 2x in average. This never happened to me before and it looks like I will end up playing in rags soon...
