Gods... Cassi and Micah. Both of you need to understand one thing: most people here don't want a safe space. Why? First because it serves no purpose. Unless you're incapable to attribute zero value to what some anonymous person on the internet says (which is stupidly easy to begin with). You can make a case for children and even then most of the high school dramas happen because they get bullied by people they know, not randoms. Second, because it does not only create a perception of oppression, it is invariably oppression. We already have excessively vague communication rules but that has been fine because most admins weren't Smoothrich or some other somethingawful-spawn. Hence they were rarely used. If all admins had to suddenly ban "offensive" speech they'd be basically free to ban anybody they want.
The current system works perfectly. If someone is really being annoying, you can file a complaint here, and if there is a consensus that person will get punished. That's called due process. What you want is strip them of their rights and have them prove their innocence afterwards which is unacceptable. Hell, you can even mute them yourself.
