I have never used the tactical camera. I always hated it and never needed it/saw the point in DA:O. I certainly didn't need it to complete the game. I didn't even notice it was missing in DA2 because I didn't remember it from DA:O.

Neither did I but the mere existence is a clue that they "heard" the criticism about DA2 - at least some of it.
Just the re-implementation of DA:O features is a good sign in my book. That's what I ment.
Not to mention that those few current gameplay videos look way more promising than the very early videos they released where it looked like a freaking console button masher ala Sacred 3 *shiver*

imo good gameplay but awful settings, always believed settings were important in an rpg game; I couldn't get caught by the atmosphere so I didn't really enjoy it ):

Depends on the difficulty setting which you choose I guess. On PC (console version was way easier) nightmare difficutly without tactical view would be pretty annoying I think, just like it was in DA2.

DAO was very enjoyable, one of very few games which I managed to finish, even though it took me around 50 hours I think.
