I'm with you Torben.
These things has been said many times before.
1. Smaller hit/damage window
Decreasing the sweetspoot window will make it harder to hit and would be a direct nerf of lancers.
Lancer population will decrease slightly. Couch lancing will increase.
If decreased too much it will be a direct nerf of those with high ping, who will either quit or start couch lancing.
2. Lance angle
If implemented, it would be nice if the angle restriction changed with the speed of the horse (which has been suggested before).
So the higher speed the smaller lance angle. When standing still it could be 90 degrees, both left and right.
This is o course a direct buff to lancers but not so much as you might think.
There will be less backstabbing and more lancers will fight each others as well as other cavalry classes (1H, HX, HA, HT).
So overall I don't think infantry will be affected that much.
3. Upkeep costs of lances
I see no reason why equally effective weapons should have different upkeep costs. This goes for all weapons really.
Anyway, when it comes to lances the upkeep costs should be increased.
This is how it should look in my opinion. Current prices within parentheses.
Tier 3 - 1000 upkeep
Lance (383)
Heavy lance (679)
Great lance (245)
Tier 2 - 800 upkeep
Light lance (335)
Jousting lance (224)
Tier 1 - 400 upkeep
Practice lance (63)
Double sided lance (589) is primarily an infantry weapon.
