Read 3 different guides and have gotten a little confused...

I started off reading the Map Making for Dummies guide, got ingame and started goofing around with the terrain. I then noticed 2 things: floating
grass(When I lower the ground below the starting elevation) and trees I can't delete or even move.

Then I found Kong_Ming's guide and he provided me with a blank map, just what I wanted! (I may be wrong about this)but his guide wasn't for
any specific Module and I wasn't sure if I could use his guide to make a map for CRPG.

Clicked on the link inside Kong_Ming's guide to bring me to another guide, read it a little bit then went to bed.

So, I made this topic to ask a couple things: is there any way I can get blank maps for battle that I can use with the cRPG module and what
tools do I need to make it properly in the hopes it might one day be added to the rotation?

In short, no, not without a module system. What you CAN do, is overwrite existing maps terrain code with your own.

That method, and much more is found here: http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,98.0.html

If you want to get the module system working: http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,112508.0.html (no cRPG specific props, but you can try out stuff, like ladders).
Monkeys!

Looked around in the links and think I understand it better now.  :)

Thanks!

Another question: Is it possible to move the starting map boundries back a little bit? They started really far away from the edge, and that extra map space would be useful.

map size X and Y are found in the terrain editor

the automatic borders are unmovable but you can make the terrain bigger

you can still try enlarging the map's x and y size, but that might fuck everything up so make a backup of your terrain hexadecimal string

I tried that once, but it didn't work. The extended map parts were showing as black and the map borders were still at same place. But shortening the map works, you only need to add new map borders by yourself then (invisible walls).
