Ronins suggestion is unfair to meleers, why would we not be allowed to hide from horses, they have a huge advantage over infantry.
Not for cavs, but horse archers. The horse archer will have a horse to compensate it's 1 wpf and 0 ps, while the melee will still have a chance to kill him with his melee weapon. Even if the melee class is one hander, I think he has a good chance to win. After all, it comes to mindplay. Not to mention it is much more easier for the twohanders and polers, due to the long range.
what about making the flags appear automatically when a team has 1 last guy? didnt think on this too much maybe a stupit idea or flag time can be set to a shorter time when a team has 1 last guy, like 30 sec?
This is a good suggestion. But it should fall under the suggestions corner, that there is nothing admins can do about it. It's game mechanics, therefore devs' work. I'd love to see this done and would make completely solve the problem. But we can only discuss about the server rules right now.
But the whole point is to avoid delaying, because it's boring. If we force people to wait for the flag, there's no improvement...
You got a point there. Even if
I think people should be more patient than they are and actually wait for the round to finish, this is asking the impossible. I personally have no issues with waiting the flag, because watching other players fighting to death is not boring to me. It is like watching a scene from a movie most of the time while enjoying my tea/drink/beverage in the meantime. But yeah, that is only me. We can't expect everyone to wait for that long to be able to play. Especially considering there are lots of childish, impatient and raging players who play this game; it would be unwise to put such a rule to use. I see now and admit that part is very flawed.
Thereby I change it to a much more simple:
Horse Archer -not any other cav- has to use a melee weapon; from horseback (or dismounted if he/she wants). While the melee guy, should not be hiding anymore to make it possible the Horse Archer to use it's horse.
