My main concern with 2H axes is that they are too short (90 to 96) and that - in comparison - several 1H swords are too long (up to 103). Swords outrange Great Axes and that is not normal IMO.

As a wish, I would like to see a 1H1/2 axe. A bastard axe!

Fighting Axe.

A bastard axe is actually quite a good idea, although I don't think it would be much longer than a 1h axe.

The german footsoldier's axe also looks quite good.

So basically what you want is a German Poleaxe with a lot better swing and a lot worse thrust? I would use that.

I just retired from 2handed to polearm for just this reason, i want somthing comparable to the great long axe in 2handed because i was getting into far too many shield fights with just a greatsword :D and that takes some time, they either have to mess up pressing the rmb or i have to break there shield which takes hella long time with swords, the great long axe(polearm) is as long and as fast as the greatswords but has the ability to chop shields but loses a lot in thrust dmg, i don't see why this couldn't be a 2handed weapon or as the OP stated just more variety is always good even if just same stats as some other weapons.

@Heroin better fixed for you, you knew the point of it.

That axe doesn't lose the thrust.

Fighting Axe.

Definitely. I have just discovered (= get owned) that the 1H fighting axe has a length of 90, exactly like my 2h axe.

And no speed, and worse damage.

It depends on which 2h axe he's talking about. Twohanded axe has more speed than fighting axe.

there does need to be a better "bonus vs shields" weapon in 2h, especially now that barmace is being completely gimped. however screenshot in OP looks horrid.

I was watching king authur and bors has an awesome looking 2h axe, which has a spike on end of pole for stabbing. stabbing is needed to rival the polearms "bonus vs shields" weaps like poleaxe which have awesome reach stab which stops cav.

this is pic is a much less historical weap but has the spike on end i'm talking about

The easiest thing to do would be to return the Great Long axe to Polearm/Two hand like in native SP, just make it require 18 or 21 str its not much better than great bardiche for max upkeep weapon basically

Great Axe allready has 43 cut, which is better then most 2h swords. I woulden't really mind more models, but higher tier when you ahve the 2h bardiche meh. And a bastard axe 1h/2h would be awesome. But a 2 headed axe is extremely pointless in warband.

We need more weapons especially axes.
Also would it be possible  for axes to maybe have a different hand hold to a sword more like a polearm pick up an axe and you will instantly no what i mean this includes bardiches they are the most unrealistic weapons in this entire game they look ridiculous same goes to mancleaver wat total bs

not too smart, are ya?  This is a Bardiche.  and the game model is very realistic.
