Yes.... archers have only 3 advantages over melee lol..

Quite an understatement. Reading Gnus's reply, it sounds like he wants to lower than individual accuracy in order for them to group together and blanket an area as opposed to shooting individual targets, with a high accuracy.

Which was actually the idea for new strat, but nothing was made so far. Would really like to test it out in strat

Fine.

Melee

- more damage
While true power draw thanks to the easier speed bonus and bodkin arrows can deal pretty much the same as a melee guy but from ranged.

- higher attackspeed
I give you that tough it was not always this way, long ago archers could shoot fast as machine guns (Literally).

- stronger armored
Maybe because melee have to face danger from the front lines while also be aware of ranged (Which is 75%+ of the maps) you as archer can stay on your cosy roofs immune from
melee while being aware of ranged troops.

- usually need 1 overhead for archers, 2 hits at most
It's rare that an archer nowadays falls for 1 hit in the face but it's possible. With the ability of looking behind which most people aware of it's existence use it the chance for a surprise attack is little to none.

- dont need to spend skillpoints in order to even hit enemies
Same for archers it just makes you more fast which increases the speed bonus so more damage.

- dont need to aim and plan shots
As if it is hard, with all the shooter games around I'm surprised you make this point.

And melee HAS to plan else you would always see same fights in which one attacks the other blocks rinse repeat till one makes a mistake.

- not being interrupted by friendlies as often

- not as dependent on teamplay/support

- can easily dodge arrows due to extreamly low missile speeds in this mod
Yea right.. archers aim is nearly perfect with enough wpf you only need to think where the enemy is going to be and if he didn't notice you BAM hit him.

- can easily rape archers in cqc due to their build limitations
Goes both ways.

- can carry shields that supply magic 360° energy forcefields (almost)
Yes shields block arrows even on your back and sides. (Incase you didn't get it /sarcasm)

- dont have to care about ammo
When most archers use 3 stacks of arrows that last a whole battle, yep melee have a huge advantage.

- any object on the map can be used as an indestructible siegeshield
What do you expect when we get people every fucking map camping roofs so they can snipe anyone without worrying on some enemy to backstab them? Want a radar to show you were the enemies are? Maybe with showing how much health is left?

- lack of momentum allows for sudden, unrealistic and unpredictable movement, making yourself a very hard target
Yes running like bundle of stickss kiting people then pulling out the magic bow steady it and have enough time to accurately aim and damage fully a person infront of you is not unrealistic too.

Archers

- Able to hit anyone from far away.
- Piercing damage deals so much damage over the others making the other cut arrows pretty much useless.
- People can't block your hits unless they use a shield (With the nerf on the sides some arrows now pass through too)
- Roof camping unreachable places making you immune by melee and cav while still being deadly on everything else.
- Kiting is very easy.
- With 0 slot weapons being able to manual block (Imo they shouldn't) archers get to have too many arrows making them last forever.
- Can easily rape any class whatever they are wearing.
- Bows stats are not correctly balanced as the high tier ones are quite crappy compared to the mid tier.
- Not dependent on team because if your on some unreachable roof and know what your doing you can down or help melee down a lot of people.
- It's so easy to be helpful as an archer unlike melee many tend to take that approach resulting in unbalanced teams where almost every round there's melee waiting for the enemys to jump down the roofs.

And more.

(Blablabla yes I'm angry.. no I'm not it's just I hate the rock is fine look at how more advantages there is in using paper bullshit)
