Builds are finished at 30. The system forces people to spend 50% of their retirement at full power. I'm comfortable with the system.

If anything cut down the time spent between 20 and 30 a bit and add it to 30 -> 31. Below 20 or so levels are gained really quick and it's very  gratifying to kill a high level player with a terrible weapon and terrible stats. 20-29 you're generally (well, some builds are more unfinished at this point than others) just a gimped full build - ability to use whatever gear you're gonna use but with a couple of levels of PD/PT/PS/whatever less.

In general both curve of xp needed per level and the total xp needed to 31 are fine.

Clearly im out numbered in my suggestion and I accept my loss but I want to make my viewpoint atleast clear for these people, 30-31 IS the grind for me.

You guys keep talking about level 30 about playing your full build. Well, I like to change specs and losing 3 million to respec isn't worth it once you're level 30. It is better to just grind to level 31 and retire, get your heirloom point and pray that you like your next build. And for people who aren't full heirloomed, it just feel likes a terrible, terrible grind to get your gear up to par.

I like to change specs too.  Which is why I have more characters than anyone reasonably should.  Getting to thirty is getting to the reasonable level cap.  Its when you are pretty much fully effective.  Its great, is what it is.  Making it harder to get to 30 in exchange for literally anything else is a bad trade.  It means new players have a rougher life.  Its bad.  I like level 1-29 as much as anyone, my main hasn't made it all the way to 28 in months due to my respecs.  But getting a "ding" really isn't worth having fewer skills.  If necessary, I suggest finding a nice ding sound to play when you hit 5, 6, 7 and 8 million xp.

make a full mw set urself, not that hard...ffs, you wanted this in order to keep ppl playing, but see how this turned into loom discussion?  i play with no looms, i sold all and gave money to my pals so they could buy and upkeep anygear they want, much bettr to play with them than alone with my uber gear...ffs, get real, looms will not win this game for you

I'm just saying that a lot of these people are running around in looms when you could retire at 30. So it was easier for them.

I agree with the OP.

The difference between 30 and 31 is very daunting, thus, creating a lack of motivation, therefore, a longer time at 30.

I would suggest that the difference in exp could be lessened by some 500k-1m, as the 29-30 gap is quite minor in contrast to the 30-31 'grind'.

A relevant metaphor could be perhaps, "level 30 to 31 is like being thrown in the deep-end", as 29-30 is <2m exp, and once they hit 30, they need around 4.5m in order to hit 31.

it was completely not noob friendly system so thats why they implemented this one only when you were 10gen or something did the easy lvling happen

they did heirloom theft and recalc of XP, which covered this "exploitation" from old days, so all are on even ground, just the guys who started one year ago are few generations ahead
