I am so friendly, I even avoid to hurt anyone with my Shield-Spear-Kombo which is nearly impossible anyway.

And!...after playing League of Legends, I have to say: almost everybody in crpg is friendly.

Thrusts are hard to block, swings are not. Only good fighters can block - or rather - parry a spear/lance thrust. To parry thrusts, you must have good timing; ingame, chamber blocking is the appropriate skill.
If someone is running around while holding his mini-blade in front of his belly, he should not be able to block spear-thrusts (to the face), because that would be ridiculous...

Suggestion is: Make Stab-attaks only blockable by chambering, thank you.
Won't ever happen, but I had to say it.

I put a lot of effort in the JOKER banner. It may not be the best looking, but in my opinion it looks decent.
Its mirrored, because ingame it gets mirrored again.

Compare it with the other custom banners; most dont look that much better and some look even worse.

Hoplites will be screwed. The discussed game mechanic (turning while stabbing) is a minor compensation for the enemies ability, to 100% block a spear-stab; which is ridiculous, because it should be much more difficult to block a thrust than block a swing.
The abusing of the game mechanic - to turn around 180 degrees while stabbing - is, in addition to "holding attacks", the bread and butter of a hoplite. Apart from that, we have one attack direction, therefore useless feint, slow attack because of shield, therefore useless kick, low damage because of shield.
Why I am playing hoplite? Dont know, its kinda fun :mrgreen:

Why not Throwing Catapult, 150 blunt damage and when you activate it just before it hits the enemy, it does additional massive damage, Crushthrough and Knockdown. On kill, stacks are refreshed, for balance reasons.

Ever tried out a shield with low shield skill? You attack, the other player blocks and attacks back, but your shield skill is too low to raise it fast enough, especially when your foe wields a fast weapon. So you get hit, because the low shield skill represents, that you cannot properly use a shield in combat.
That happened to me sometimes even with shield skill 4 and (normal) round shield.

A guy with shield skill 0 would get outspammed with a mid to heavy shield. A light shield would brake after five arrows or three hits (i guess).

I am 100% that the dev will never allow this to happen. This gives the pure STR much more advantage than people with AGI build. At 39 Str you will have a unbreakable shield skill which means even 999999999 hits and arrows will never break your shield. The reason i said it will make all ranged classes become rubbish it is because if the shielders just holding right click it can stay like that forever and the shield will never break. Try using a Steel Buckler with shield skill higher than 9. If enemy shoot you in the leg the arrow will go to the shield instead of your leg. The higher shield skill = Absord all angles of incoming arrows / bolts.

If Shield difficulty is based on STR then people with 39 str can just get the steel shield and stuff like that? No because many people will go for Pure strength if this happen. If it actually happen then Shield skill should be based on STR too?
