Beginner's Help and Guides / Re: need suggestions on reforging/exchanging
« on: October 31, 2015, 03:34:40 pm »
I guess my email notifications aren't working I didn't realize you guys replied...Thank you.

What I have is a message saying that I can exchange any loomed item for any other loomed item   (a +3 horn bow for the +3 long Morningstar for ex.)

I am really interested in the new long Morningstar is it decent?

also the lombardic sword, swiss longsword  any good?

I hear horn bow, scimitar, and bar mace are dead???

Thanks

Beginner's Help and Guides / need suggestions on reforging/exchanging
« on: October 27, 2015, 04:35:39 pm »
Hello All,

A little help.  I've been away for a while and just come back to find 5 exchange/reforge points.  I have these +3 items.  Which ones have been nerfed to uselessness.  I see a lot of new items, which ones are people wanting.  Any feedback on what to exchange is welcomed!!!

I probably will get some grief, but what is the state of archer affairs; , with their weight load are they nerfed to the point that they can't walk upright...being forced to shoot themselves in the knee, or somewhat playable.

Sorry, one more;  is siege totally dead??? Thanks

What would you reforge for gameplay? for trade?

Are you shure? Take a look at this trades.

09/06/2013 14:25:34   Masterwork Longsword   Masterpiece Huscarl's Round Shield  shield worth 2lp and 50k max,guy with longsword lost money

People make so much stupid trades.

Not true.  The shield was mine.  Right now there is a request for the shield at

   06/16/2013 19:06         2   100,000   Masterpiece Huscarl's Round Shield >   3   0   0

and these 3 offered:

   06/15/2013 06:56   Masterpiece Huscarl's Round Shield >   3   0   0   Masterpiece Knightly Kite Shield >   3   0   30,000
   06/15/2013 06:56   Masterpiece Huscarl's Round Shield >   3   0   0   Masterpiece Elite Cavalry Shield >   3   0   30,000
   06/14/2013 12:40   Reinforced Huscarl's Round Shield >   2   0   0         0   900,000

the last one sold for:

Trade request   05/15/2013 02:36   1,100,000

that's 2 lp and 200k

Guy with shield and guy with Longsword both walked away happy!!!!!!!

As for the market:  I recently returned and found all my archery crap was worthless.  Regardless, I decided to have some fun playing the market only to find prices and strategies had really changed (for ex. +2's are a cancer.)  I always straight traded and still pretty much refuse to pay extra gold unless I think the deal is too good to pass up.

I never liked those offers of 200k for a +1  or a 100k trade bonus for trading (100k has become the standard in the market for just about any loom change.)  I now offer to buy +1 stuff around 200k because I got a bunch of messages asking me to, some people just want to quick-sell to buy something they want and are happy to drop the weapon quickly, others would rather wait the several weeks it takes to get full price.  To each his own.  They get quick gold, I spend, sometimes months, holding a +1.  If you feel scammed let me know in a day and we'll fix it (I've did it b4 and don't mind.)  I have also used the profits to help smaller clans and new guys, so don't call me a "jew" or scammer when I am more than generous (although a tough trader at times...especially when old-timers tell me how poor they are and try to hose me.)  If you want to quicksell your junk I have a set buy price and it is your choice to sell or not.  I don't hide that I will probably resell.

that dude asked me to trade my shield even up for his sword, I wanted to try a Longsword (when I get back to playing), he wanted the shield, deal done!!!  The market at its purest!!!!!!!!

any bow (as long as it induces rage)

LOL  already a -1!!!  Who says archery has been nerfed :D  The mere mention of an arrow slinging utensil still induces such uncontrollable emotion.  I win an haven't nocked an arrow in months. lol

I accepted your trade. You received 35000 gold in exchange for your Heavy Swiss Halberd (rank 1, 5751641). The 5% fee of 1750 gold was paid by you.

Man Joey; you have to gain some weight before you can start throwing it around.

Acting like this makes me think.............................

I'm guessing he is just young and under developed socially.  If he was mentally unstable he would probably bring up a Saudi Arabian oil conspiracy.

LOL  Good luck on your travels.  I'm not playing right now so it's all yours.

I'm still trying to dig Berenger's schlong out from under all my now useless strat 3 gold, goods, and supplies; I hope to get it out soon; the smell is something terrible  :D

I had a lot of help from a lot of clans or I would have been squashed like a bug early on.  I won't mention them because of confidentiality stuff, but I appreciate all they did.

Next episode:  (More to the point, but sacrificing the entertaining story...nobody cares anyway right   )

A fight looked imminent due to Grandma Rectalharm's refusal to return the severed appendage. Much hateful verbal battering took place as tempers flared on both sides. The nomads charged the only bridge into the village. Grandma Rectalharm set up a formidable fist wall along the edge of the bridge. Mandible charged the fist wall and then broke to the side in an effort to attack the peasants from the back. There was no strategy on his part, just stupidity; for he wanted to use his backhand.

The peasants misinterpreted this move as an attempt to rush Rouncey in her stall. The fist wall broke to pursue Mandible just as Turboflex crashed into it, leaving many a peasant unconscious. Turboflex was quickly followed by Dino, Anders, Rhalzo, and Spainard as the peasants were beat into an uncoordinated mob.

Charging out and then being forced to fall back to the bridge, the peasants once again formed a fist wall. Turboflex again crashed into this fist wall. Unbeknownst to him the fist wall was a trap; a trap which quickly turned into a kick circle, a very devastating kick circle of death.

As the battle raged many a peasant fell to the nomads, but not nearly enough.  Soon the Nomads were forced to retreat.  With the crunching sound of many broken teeth under their boots, the peasants quickly reclaimed the unconscious bodies of 112 of their neighbors. The nomads attempted to reclaim their 36 fallen brethren, but were repulsed.  Rhalzo not hearing the call to retreat was left alone and quickly engulfed within a newly formed kick circle of death.

The nomads reluctantly returned to their encampment to consult their mage, Froyoyoyoyoyo the wizard.  Froyoyoyoyoyo prepared a recipe to create a magical weapon. A weapon that when used would provide a screen to enable the nomads to recover their unconscious fallen.

And so the battle continues;

Nomads
Have Nomad Armor, Nomad Boots, Practice Daggers, Wooden Sticks (kind of rare; to simulate being found on the ground,) Stones (plentiful because battle is on a riverbank,) and smoke bombs.

Peasants
Have assorted peasant clothes, peasant knives, throwing knives (kitchen ware,) wooden sticks, stones, and a couple cleavers.

previous battles results were 6 nomads vs 11 peasants, w/Dino knocking out 38 peasants himself.......36 nomads were lost and 112 peasants beat down.

I tried to help, but I was too busy retreating all troops from the fist wall onslaught...left you to face the "kick circle of death" all alone

Trying to figure out the direction now...next battle just fists and stones, just stones with no one allowed to cross the river, stones and a few magical smoke bombs..........
