I am curious if it would be hard to make a red version of the priest's robe and maybe one of the hoods already in the game (pilgrim or pelt hood) and if such an idea would meet with approval.

I am having the same problem.  I does the commander have to say you showed up or is it just supposed to know when you fight in the battle?

I think it would be a cool addition to add an executioner's hood.  It would go well with anyone using an axe.
