Have not played for a half a year... moved to antoher country and bought Warband again, I don't have my old license key anymore. Is it possible to somehow update my old char with a new license key?

Well, if lance would be able to break (like in 1257 ad mod), then lances would be an additional weapon to 1h or 2h cav build. Not a primary weapon like they are used right now.

Spent about 70k on all new armor and items after patch, mostly wearing about 20k in total equipment and got back to 80k on account in about several evenings of playing. Could play 20-30 rounds in plate for the same price, but what's a point if I'm loving my strange armor for it's new look and good enought stats.

When I had a 2h build and needed to raise some money quick, I would wear a peasant clothing with plated mittens and german greatsword, just for style.

If you are completetly new player, I would suggest you to make a simple 18/18 polearm build, take a low end armor and pike. This way you would be helpfull to your team and will raise money really quick, to spent them on your next gens and builds.

For some reason cav even easily survives pike\long pike hits. With 6PS I've managed to 1hit\dehorse cav only in "perfect" circumstances. Btw, this is another con of long pike, mostly you only stop cav, then you still need to make several hit to dehorse him and it's much much easier to do with a pike then a long pike, too often they would easily block your second stab and just gallop away.

I personally don't see anything new in fire & sword that wasn't made already in other mods, but there are some strange things like no ability to choose your starting background and heaving skill points already spent on useless stuff... like really? they didn't let us do it? wth

Besides models of firearms and some armors I don't see what is the benefit for Crpg in it. Firearms mechanics is not that good here, I've seen better one in other mods.

Well, dead ppl can't talk to alive and if you are alive it's a bit weird to run around and talk to possible leachers when you have an enemy to kill.

I use it sometimes, cause we still have leachers who just simply prolong match or just hide in bushes and do nothing.
But I had funny experience two times already, some guys hide without a weapon and just sit there and wait to be reported, then they hit M and continue to leach until admin kicks them :lol:

In my opinion long pike reach is not that greater than of pike, with so less speed and damage. I did like it but pike is still superior to it. If requirement would be lowered to at least 12 so you could use it with 9Ath that would cancel out its downfalls.

and it has that nasty cool down period after you hit shield with it, maybe it's because of it's low speed.

I'm really not sure how Walt-F4's study represent other agi related things such as blocking. For example, on my 30/9 build I've noticed that changing block direction goes twice as fast as setting block from "neutral" position, I've never experienced such with 15/24 builds. Blocking with 30/9 after 15/24 is a bit hard for me, difference in wpf 110 - 170, maybe it's subtle on graph, but I'm sure that graph dosnt show whole picture.

Numbers don't lie but from experience perspective it dosn't make any sence. Agility does effect your movement and swing speed, maybe to that much for polearms but definately for 2h weapons.

IMHO to have a better picture you need to gather data using swings or overhead - one that takes most of the time to complete.
Cause playing str build I don't see a problem in making fast stabs but swings go really slow compared to agi build. WPF in both cases is close to 120.

Make it not str but PS and IF as requirement for armor  :D
