A few months ago Olwen tried to constantly recruit me into Greys. Never did since I cannot be bothered with ts and activity.

He also beat me in melee most of the time.

Thanks, those are some interesting alternatives. I was thinking about War Darts since about a year ago they seemed the most accurate. But now it seems that accuracy stat is higher with the more expensive weapons. I think I'll create an alt and will experiment with different builds. We'll see what I'll end up using. But my general idea is to use War Darts to weaken my targets so I could pretty much 1 or 2 hit them dead with my steel pick. And kill the weakened ones with my War Darts. I remember being occasionaly able to head shot my enemies with them.

Btw, Could I be able to deal with 5 PS and MW Steel Pick? Then I could become fast and really increase Throwing WPF. would it be worth it?

5Shield

I'm playing in EU so less Str build exist.

Beginner's Help and Guides / Hybrid thrower

I had one ages ago with 2h as the main skill. It was a blast. Things are different now but I've been considering making 1h/thrower hybrid.

I've thinking +3 Steel Pick/Knightly Heater and +3 War Darts as I seemed to be able to hit with them decently. Could this be done without gimping anything too much and with what kind of build?

All other 1H/Throwing discussion is welcome as well.

General Discussion / Re: Weapons You hate the most

Having read this thread through, I can now conclude that all weapons are op. Good job balancing it dev team.

Regarding maulers, I often attack them on purpose because I can usually kill them. I can believe what's so hard in doing it. They're slow and have pitiful range. Useful weapons of course but they definitely have obvious drawbacks. Same with other "op" weapons. It takes some skill to use them right. You can always spot a good ninja from a bad one.

I've been playing as 24/12 for a while now and can confirm that in some situations 12 ath is enough. If you move with main host you can get quite a few kills with Iberian in the chaos. Whereas Elite Scimitar will work well when you have more room. I find myself using the latter more even though I love knockdown. However, it's hard for me to say how the build ranks up because most of my deaths seem to come due to my own stupidity and getting myself into bad combat situations. This true with all my builds. Sometimes I top the scoreboard, sometimes below mid ranks. I really need to develop consistency.  :oops:Maybe the weakness of a strength build is that it is more limited in staying with the zerg host. And sometimes because of the lack of team work, such a host never forms. Recently I did rank 10/0 score though by just moving on my own or in small groups.

I don't think I'll be continuing this build to 27/12 though. I remember having more fun with agi builds. I might even become a better player by trying to become more like a duellist.

How about 27/12?

Recently dev team has talked about additional post lvl 31 retirement bonuses being implemented soon so I thought about advancing my shielder to 33 and then retiring. I have most of the looms I need in any case. Originally I thought about doing 24/15 to improve the hitting power of my last build 21/15 (was really pleased with that). But now I'm thinking that since 12 agi has been enough for me so why don't I go for ultimate strength build.

+3 Iberian Mace or +3 Elite Scimitar with 9PS sounds scary doesn't it? Additionally, I have +3 Knightly Heater so even with 4 Shield I should be able to take some hits without losing my shield. However, Ath concerns me. In siege 4 has been enough but how about battle, 4 Ath enough or am I gimping myself? I'd love to try this sort of "gimmick" build though.

Is there a significant difference between 9 PS and 8 PS for such weapons?

Okay, I'll bite. MW Bec for your axe. I was looking for an elite scimitar to satisfy my long range spamming needs but a shield breaker combined with my +3 Military Hammer would make my shielder a fairly versatile fighter.

The offer is in the market.
