Which is impossible as there are only 7.8 billion people on Earth. Which part of my statement is wrong?

Don't worry, COVID-19 won't keep up its current rate of spread for the rest of the year, no need to panic. The population of Earth is much less than 23 billion, it'll run out of new people to infect much sooner than December 2020.

Well, few people being outside in the middle of big Chinese cities is nothing special. Most of their big cities are more or less ghost towns all the time, since people can only afford to live in slums on the outskirts of the city. Highrise buildings in the centers of those cities just rot away unused.

Yeah, I noticed a bit of cheapness in the first few episodes as well, but... it gets better. Or, at least, the action got too exciting for me to notice any cheapness.
