I think the last changes were really good, San.  As far as I'm concerned wardarts and the 0-slotters got a huge buff with the weight reductions despite the loss in damage(they're all about the always brutal headshots anyways).  Jarids/Spears losing some damage was necessary.  I don't think removing throwing speed would be a good change for balance and it would just contribute to an already underplayed class being less fun.  Less shots-per-second would be a good balancing mechanism, but increasing the wind-up for throws just makes it feel clunky and boring.

I made a brand new bow today just so we could do extensive testing with Drakanis.  The class seems unplayably bad now, particularly at what I think the class is least gay and most useful at doing, killing other cavalry.  He shot one of our chargers like 5 times and it was only at 90% health.  I saw him shoot an agility build player many, many times to no avail on multiple occasions, as well. 

I actually think the slowdown was a fantastic stand-alone nerf and I would be totally fine if HA never did good damage to infantry again.  However, them being shitty at bringing down really good cav players who are otherwise pretty untouchable really hurts the game in my opinion.

This is amaaaaazing.  I've been saying to do these almost exact same things for years now.  I guess it took the game legitimately starting to die for them to do something about it.  Now all we need is for them to round out those good motf changes and we'll have ourselves a mod!

I've already got a ton of real life friends who are going to come play again if this ends up being as amazing and unrestrictive as it sounds.

For the most part, great patch.  I think you took too much armor and hitpoints away from the plated charger, which was already so incredibly niche compared to the infinitely harder to hit smaller armored horses.

I loveee the throwing lance change, but it should probably still be 7 requirement, this change basically just means anyone can use them.  One of the weaknesses of my build was always that I couldn't loot throwing lances, I felt like it was a logical trade-off for being able to kite most people.

It sounds like most of your issue revolves around the central tactic to winning in the battle game mode, which is locking as many people on the other team out of interaction as possible.  So uh, let's just fix battle.

The main things that I'll add to this are.....  If ranged didn't exist, arabian would be an absolute god among horses.  It almost feels too easy with that amount of maneuverability.  Also, plated charger is incredibly niche in it's uses, but it still does definitely serve a unique purpose on occasion.  That being said, it's probably still pretty bad when stacked up against the next 4 heaviest horses in practically all situations.

I don't disagree with the rationale.  But I have to say that I seriously don't see hardly any of these weapons as it is.  Nerfing them is just going to ever so slightly make them even more rare compared to the absolute infestation of 1h swords.

Yeah!  I'm a pretty huge supporter of them getting throwing stars and daggers more use.  I've told Tydeus and San on at least a few occasions how insanely great it would be if they just added a few 2-slot throwing weapons to diversify loadouts and add another dimension to balancing things like throwing lances and heavy throwing axes.  This would also have the effect of massively encouraging pure-throwers to use the 0-slotters to supplement their ammo stock with weapons that don't do retarded amounts of damage.  Alt-mode on daggers would be fantastic and make for a lot of really fun "assassin" hybrids.  The one thing I'd add to that idea is that they'd probably have to alter stars if this change were made, since the already very equally powerful(in my experience) daggers would certainly become more powerful, or at least more versatile.

Lots of things.  If I had to name one, though, I'd go with upkeep.  They just need to be done with it and just fully balance the items.  Items like the scythe, low-end spears, the daggers (especially prenerf), regular maul, and shortened military scythe are all great examples of extremely dirt-cheap items that are actually really great at what they do with unique strengths that you don't find on any other items.  They could simply accentuate these features and have lots of balanced, varying items for us to choose from.
