im here to game aswell, im not going to sit there and pull everyone aside and talk to them like a child.

One minute is not a lot of time to ask for and spending a minute to sort something out can make hours of difference later on.

If you are not willing to take the extra step to resolve issues then why did you want to become an admin in the first place?

Also point two, Why not? if someone is abusing the rules why cant i state that they are breaking them?

What I meant is using a person's previous ban or disciplinary action against them to diminish their credibility and status.

As for you mord! you have been warned many times for admin abuse and trolling! so dont play the good guy because it isnt you!

Unless the crpg admin menu has changed, I believe there is an option to force certain players into spectator. From there you can have private discussions with them without involving the entire server arguing. You should consider doing this instead of using the pink admin text because it only concerns one person and nobody else needs to get involved in the dispute.

Most of the time, if you don't want a problem to escalate... you need to handle it discreetly and with high standard of professionalism and care.

I have no problems with the AEF server but I strongly feel that one or more of their admins needs to tone down and be less domineering. The reason for this is that if people assert their will or dominance arrogantly or with prejudice, it can provoke a natural defensive reaction from those on the receiving end. This is how arguments and feuds begin.

I also do not believe AEF are running the server like a dictatorship because if I was to ever be kicked, banned or treated unfairly, I know that I could appeal this decision and that my appeal would be looked at fairly and without bias as long as I am being sensible, following the appeals process and presenting honest facts for my case instead of trying to rabblerouse support and burst AEF's credibility bubble.

- There is nothing wrong with the server.
- The admin team could definitely improve their presentation and methods of communicating. (You should never mention someone's punishments publicly or use it as a way to put them down)
- There is an appeals process if you feel you've been mistreated.
- You don't get in trouble if you do nothing wrong.

Later, I spoke to Murtagh about this, and was unbanned.

Weeks to a month later

Dunno where he pulled "insecurities" and "narcissism" from, when he has never had a proper discussion with me, and knows nothing about me lol.

In case you don't remember:

You contacted me on steam when you were permbanned a 2nd time from Murtagh's cRPG server.

You contacted me on a new steam account registered on that day with a freshly bought warband cdkey hoping to play the anonymous card and dodge an existing permban on your main key.

We knew it was you because you were silly enough to try and log in to your main character with a different cdkey.

We discussed your conduct and concluded that the ban would stay in place.

Dutchy is not accusing you because you are in LPK (It's got nothing to do with LPK), he is accusing you because he thinks you did it. There is a big difference in that.

He doesn't need proof to report an incident. It's all about how well he can plead his case and just because he doesn't have proof readily available doesn't mean the incident didn't occur. I could jump on a crossbow character and intentionally shoot you in the back as well, you may not know who did it and you may not have proof available because you weren't expecting it but that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Finally... and I'm hoping this will be the end of it... Let me just say that I've never once seen Dutchy intentionally teamkill or teamhit nor have I have ever witnessed him misbehaving before or even after his ban even when you were present in the server so your request for what you want from him has already been met. It also doesn't look like he is going to reply to this thread any time soon with anything new either.

Play on.

...Stand back and watch while he 'attempts' to mock me and the rest of LPK?

It is exactly what you should be doing if you want this conflict to stop.

It's obvious that Dutchy broke a rule because he was disgruntled and I don't blame him. He cops a lot of rubbish from players in game and on this forum who try so gratuitously to prove him wrong and put him down.

Dutchy responded to his ban by accusing you of trying to shoot him in the back, provoking him and setting him up. This may or may not be true but Dutchy certainly believes it to be true.

What doesn't make sense to me is why Dutchy, a relatively new player of good standing with no prior history for harassing people or intentionally teamhitting/teamkilling would try to teamhit you all of a sudden. I think something happened to provoke him. Maybe you fired your crossbow too close and he thought you were trying to teamhit him or maybe you really were trying to aggravate him, if so then you should be punished as well.

Either way, what's done is done and it's time to move on because it doesn't matter now. At the end of the day, Dutchy shouldn't have responded the way he did. He could've held himself back and just reported the incident but he didn't and so he was slapped with a 1 day ban.

Rebutting every one of his statements you disagree with is not going to make your penis grow any bigger than his or anyone elses.

What more do you want from him?

i'd be more than happy to find a resolution via discussion through steam, as this sub-forum is not the place to debate whether or not I should host a server.

You mean like how you found a resolution privately regarding your issues with Dutchy?

I will say no more.

Thank you for proving my point.

Honestly, I say that I have nothing against you, despite our bitter history.

Are you trying to tell me this or are you trying to convince yourself that you don't? Saying so does not make it so, actions speak louder than words.

If you really think that you have nothing against me then:

1. You wouldn't be making so many racial slurs towards me any opportunity you get
2. You wouldn't have convinced yourself that "Roman hates me" as you said so in the AEF server a few days ago.

I think your narcissism (and perhaps even your personal insecurities) is impairing your judgement and affecting how you perceive others and their actions.

In light of this, if you were to own a server, I personally wouldn't trust you to make suitable, unbiased, mature decisions. You even said so yourself that you think Caesar is more mature than you. No offense to Caesar but that flame war with Dutchy on this forum wasn't very mature. Where does that put you on the maturity scale?

You need to stop, think about what you are doing and take some responsibility for your own actions.

...would put my bias' and prejudices behind me in regards to all players...

You are lying because you mentioned in server a few days ago that you will "Only be prejudice towards AEF members".

Dutchy swings carelessly and horsebumps teammates while trying to attack the opponent, sometimes losing the round for his team. As uncoordinated as he is, I don't believe he is doing it intentionally because it is not consistent or specifically targeted towards anyone.

I would also like to add that I'm worried about LPK's intentions to host their own server. I think the reason for setting it up is very questionable and controversial especially if it is going to be owned by Redemption. A player who has been punished numerous times for racial/derogatory comments and misbehaving not just on AEF's server but also on previous Australian cRPG servers.

Why he feels the need to behave like this, to retaliate and lash out against people who he feels may have hurt his position or compromised his dignity or intelligence is beyond me.

Taking this into account and a few of the LPK member's inability to resolve disputes appropriately, the time-wasting flame war that a few of them have involved themselves in and a few unnecessary and inappropriate comments made by them, do you really think they are capable of maintaining a server with utmost care and integrity?

Don't take my post the wrong way and please don't resort to black and white thinking. I'm not siding with AEF. I think some of the AEF members have done the wrong thing and handled situations very poorly from time to time but launching your own server in retaliation to disciplinary action is not going to fix any problems. It will however cause more problems for the Australian cRPG community.

I think this video sums up what I've just said in layman's terms.

To Redemption in response to one of your comments you made about me ingame yesterday:

No, I am not trying to get you banned from GameArena. You were trying to get yourself in trouble. It's got nothing to do with me and I'm certainly not trying to target you or treat you unfairly, especially since you were under an alias and I did not know it was you.

This is a summary of what happened. Feel free to appeal on GameArena website.
Appeals are handled by admins from a neutral 3rd party with no involvement whatsoever to the incident so they won't be biased.

Be sure to mention any discrepancies or wrong-doings on my part.

1. You join GameArena anonymously under an alias that advertises a pornographic website.
2. I pull you into spectator and ask you to change your name.
3. You call me "Slantie eyes" and then leave the server.
4. Within a minute, you rejoin the server with another offensive and inappropriate name.
5. I take disciplinary action.

I just thought I would let you all know, I have decided im going to be getting a 64-100 slot c-rpg server.

This should be happening in a couple of days to two weeks.

Who are you????????

I's against the rules if he is using his admin status to put a password on the server to be alone in it.

According to the rules - If he wants to password the server, he needs to rename the server to something else so that it unlinks itself from the database and stops generating XP and gold.

It doesn't look like it was done here.

I don't see a rule anywhere that says 'playing DTV alone as admin is not allowed' but it does kind of push the rules to the limits as there is nothing to really stop the admin from camping and exploiting it somewhere.

Were you doing something to get kicked?
